The van stopped at a large gaming arena, and even though they hadn't been told what activity they were doing that day, some of the members were excited. As long as it had something to do with games.

All the members left the van and walked towards the front door of the building as guided by the directors while the camera men followed behind them. Chengxin and Pandora still weren't talking even though it had been two days since the argument, so the members were not surprised when the two chose to be as far away from each other as possible. However, they knew it could go wrong if the activity needed teams and they ended up on the same team.

Finally, they were led into a dark part of the building with several walls that turned and interconnected, it was more like there was a maze in front of them.

'Today's activity is laser tag,' the director announced.

'Oh yeah! This is gonna be fun!' Yaowen cheered enthusiastically, raising his fist in the air.

'The rules are simple,' the director started to explain. 'We're going to randomly divide you into three teams. After that, you will compete against each other in laser tag.'

The fact that they were now dividing them into 3 teams rather than 5 like they usually did just emphasized to Pandora that Nikita was really gone. She was once again getting saddened. She hadn't felt well in a long time anyway.

A supposed instructor was standing near the director, listening to everything he was saying and waiting for his turn.

One of the camera men handed the director a piece of paper, and the director looked at it carefully. 'Okay, so in Team 1 we have Chengxin, Haoxiang and Yaxuan.'

Pandora and Chengxin were both relieved that they were not in the same team, it would have been quite awkward working together in such a situation.

'Team 2 we have Pandora, Zhenyuan and Jiaqi. And in Team 3 we have Rio, Junlin and Yaowen.'

Everybody looked at their teammates in preparation for the match, and Pandora forced a smile to each of them once they had looked in her direction. It didn't seem very sincere, but at least she was trying to participate.

'Alright, the instructor will explain how the game will work.' The director then said, and the instructor walked from where he was standing and walked closer to the participants. He had a vest and a gun.

'So, here is how it's going to go. Everyone will put on this vest,' the man held out the black vest that had LED lights on chest area. It looked like something that would typically be worn in a Sci-Fi movie. 'The LED lights on this vest are the areas you must target. You shoot your opponent on this part using your gun for them to lose lives.'

The participants nodded, although some who had already played it before like Yaowen and Haoxiang were getting quite bored with the introduction.

'Your gun shoots infrared laser beams, so that when they hit the sensors of the opponent's vest, they register that a life has been lost.' he now lifted the laser gun that was in one hand. 'So in this game, every person has a total of three lives. If you're shot three times, you leave the game and rest in a separate room right there.' he stretched his hand to a closed door near the maze.

The vests were distributed to the participants. Some of the group's vests had yellow LED lights, some had blue and the others had red.

'So the different colors are to signify the different groups. The team with the highest number of members still in the game wins in the end.' he continued.

Pandora put on her vest with yellow LED lights. She was having quite a hard time buckling the vest. Chengxin really felt like helping, but instead he looked elsewhere and tried to ignore the situation.
