Chengxin and Haoxiang went into Chengxin's room to keep the conversation as private as possible. Chengxin shut the door and turned around to Haoxiang who had now sat on Chengxin's bed. He was looking at Chengxin to hear what he had to say, even though Chengxin supposed he already knew.
'Okay, Haoxiang, you and I are bandmates.' Chengxin stated finally, standing in front of the seated Haoxiang. 'It's not right for us to be fighting over a girl...or whatever this silent competition is. We can't keep doing this, it's gonna become toxic for our band.'
Haoxiang didn't nod nor comment, he simply stared at Chengxin.
'So...what's gonna happen from here?' Chengxin asked him to hear his suggestion.
'How about you leave her and I have her?' Haoxiang tilted his head.
'What? No.' Chengxin flinched. 'How can you even say that? You're the one in the wrong Haoxiang. You knew that I like Pandora but you ignored everything and went for it anyway. Now we're in this conflict that doesn't even have to exist. You leave her, and I have her.'
Haoxiang shook his head. 'That's the problem with you, you're selfish. For some reason, you believe you deserve everything simply because you feel you're entitled? Or because you're older? Or because you're the so-called visual? Not this time.'
Chengxin was a bit taken aback. He never thought he's selfish, surely he wasn't. He didn't understand what Haoxiang's accusation was built on. 'I deserve her...you threw her away now you want her back because you've suddenly realized what you lost? And then one day you'll probably leave her again huh? She doesn't deserve that.'
'Obviously you don't know what you're saying,' Haoxiang stood up defiantly. 'Pandora and I have history, I never left her even once. If I never left her after all those years, what makes you think I would leave her now?'
'You left her! If you didn't leave her then why is she single right now?' Chengxin felt like his patience was being tested.
Haoxiang smirked. 'I left her physically, but emotionally...I never did. And she knows that now. That's the advantage I have over you. So if I were you, I'd give up.'
Without waiting for a response, Haoxiang left the room. Chengxin kicked his bedside table in anger, before regretting it a moment later. He grabbed his foot in pain and sat down on his bed painfully.
After the pain on his foot had dwindled, he left the room and walked into the kitchen. Once again, Pandora was cooking. This time, Jiaqi and Zhenyuan were cooking along with her.
Pandora felt the now familiar feeling of someone putting their arms around her waist. She smiled to herself as she removed his hands then turned around to him.
'Chengxin! The girl is cooking! Yeesh!' Jiaqi complained jokingly as he continued to chop the vegetables.
Pandora chuckled then looked at Chengxin with a smile. Even though Chengxin returned the smile, Pandora noticed it wasn't genuine. She lifted her hand and placed it on his cheek. 'What's wrong? You don't look very happy.'
'I'm fine.' Chengxin assured her. But even Jiaqi noticed that he didn't look very happy.
Meanwhile, Rio was sitting in the dining room with some of the boys. The kitchen door was ajar, so she could see what was going on in the kitchen. She then turned back to the boys with a surprised face.
'So you're saying both Haoxiang and Chengxin now like Pandora?' Rio asked Junlin who had just finished explaining the story of Haoxiang and Chengxin seeming interested in the same girl.
'Exactly.' Junlin laughed. 'Anyway, Haoxiang deserves her.'
'What? Chengxin deserves her. What's wrong with you man?' Yaowen immediately protested.
