Some ten years later, Chengxin found himself sitting on one of the chairs at his bandmate's outdoor wedding. He didn't want to attend it, but it wasn't as if he had a choice.
He was sitting next to his girlfriend Rio, still surprised that they had made it that far. Rio was the one who was holding on to the relationship, and running after Chengxin whenever he felt like ending it all. He felt bad about everything he was putting her through, but he just couldn't control himself at times. When he finally learned to love her perfectly, he promised himself he would love her with all his heart.
Some people say that you only fall in love, and you remember your soulmate forever. Well, Chengxin had started to think that was true. Ever since he fell in love with Pandora ten years ago, he still hadn't forgotten her. And the pain was still there, despite how many times it hid itself. Some days he would feel alright, but it would build up and erupt like a volcano.
The bride's procession started, and everyone looked in the direction of the bride to see how beautiful she looked as she came from the back.
'Oh my gosh, she looks so pretty,' Rio commented to Chengxin, who still didn't turn his head to look at her. He didn't want to see her, but he knew he was going to see her soon.
Nikita was also sitting on a wheelchair nearby, screaming on top of her lungs in support.
Pandora made her way on the thin white carpet until she finally made it to the front to her fiancé. Haoxiang smiled at her as she approached him, overwhelmed by her beauty. The white she was wearing made her seem more angelical.
'Dearly and beloved...' the wedding officiant started.
Chengxin wasn't listening, in fact he had blocked his ears to everything the man was saying.
'If there's any reason these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace.' The man stated, the only words Chengxin was able to pick up.
Don't do it Chengxin, he said to himself. But the thought that Pandora would be completely Haoxiang's if he didn't say anything made him feel a restless.
'Very well...'
'I object!' Chengxin rose up from his chair.
Everyone looked at him in awe, almost with disbelief. Chengxin felt a hint of nervousness, but he wasn't going to sit down and pretend he was okay. Pandora looked back at him as well, she was shocked but her eyes were overflowing with love. It was almost as if she was glad that Chengxin had done this, because she wanted to be with him too.
But that was all in his imagination. In reality, Chengxin was still seated in the front chair and watching as the couple was about to get wed. Rio couldn't stop commenting about how beautiful Pandora looked, and Chengxin wondered if she really meant that. Or maybe Chengxin dating her had given her confidence so she didn't really hate Pandora any longer.
'Dearly and beloved,' the wedding officiant was saying the words in the real world now. 'We are gathered here to witness the joining of...'
And in reality, Chengxin's mind couldn't get the words as well. He put his chin in hands in boredom as he watched Pandora and Haoxiang who were smiling at each other.
'If there's any reason these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace.' The man announced. Everyone was looking at the couple with admiration, knowing no one would stop it.
Chengxin wondered what would happen if he stopped it in real life. Would Pandora really look at him like that like she did in his imagination? He was seriously thinking about it.
The man was still looking around before he decided to continue reading. 'Very...'
'I object!' Chengxin had found the courage to do what he had done in his imagination. Indeed, everyone turned to him. But he wondered if he would get the same reaction from her he imagined.
