The participants of the show were now in front of the carnival that evening. With the sun having already set, all the lights from all the rides shone brightly into the night and beautified it. Those who loved rides and games were already excited, wishing for the activity to immediately start.

Chengxin wasn't feeling very happy that particular evening. But then again, he wasn't usually happy ever since what happened. He knew he would get better, but he just didn't know when.

He found himself standing next to Pandora in the group, but neither of them said anything to each other. It seemed like both of them were just itching to get away from each other, but it would have been even more awkward if they did that.

'Why'd you do that?' Chengxin finally whispered to Pandora while they all waited for the directive.

'I'm sorry,' Pandora answered immediately.

'No but why'd you do that?' he asked again.

'Does it matter? Stick to your beloved girlfriend.' She looked away from him, and it was clear that she was getting angry.

'Yeah just like how you're sticking to your beloved boyfriend right?' Chengxin answered in an equally angry tone.

'Hey, do you guys mind not arguing for a while? For crying out loud, we'll be filming soon.' Zhenyuan commented then looked back at the director.

The two of them kept quiet and also looked forward to the director who seemed to be taking forever to give directive.

'So, today's directive is...have fun. Have fun and have fun.' The director told them. 'And we're not choosing teams for you today, you can choose at random team. Three teams with two people and one team with three. Go ahead.'

Chengxin found himself reaching for the sleeve of Pandora's sweater, desperate to team up with her one more time. But his hand gripped nothing when Haoxiang already pulled Pandora towards himself. Chengxin looked at Pandora with a sad expression as she walked away with Haoxiang. Haoxiang turned around to Chengxin and gave him a smirk, reminding him that he's a failure.

Rio walked over to Chengxin and put her arm through his. 'Are you ready my prince?'

'I don't know...' Chengxin removed his arm from hers. 'Maybe I should join the group of three...'

Jiaqi walked over to the two of them. 'Great, you guys just have fun.' Jiaqi advised.

'I don't know dude, I'm kinda beginning to feel that getting Pandora jealous really won't solve anything.' Chengxin sighed. 'All I'm doing is getting her jealous but that doesn't mean she'll come to me.'

'She eventually will,' Jiaqi assured him. 'Trust me.'

Chengxin groaned. 'Fine.' He put his arm through Rio's, and she smiled at him. The two of them started to walk away, while Jiaqi walked back to his teammate Yaxuan. The cameramen found all of this weird, but just like the director told them, they filmed everything without asking questions and left the rest to the editors.

'We should take those cute pictures in a booth and show Pandora, what do you think?' Rio asked him with a smile.

'I guess.' Chengxin didn't know what to say, he didn't feel like having fun anyway. All he wanted was to get home and lock himself in his room then drown in self-pity.

'Come on Chengxin, cheer up. You're a great person. You shouldn't let Pandora affect you too much.' She tried to tell him. 'Okay let's get some snacks first, will that cheer you up?'

'I don't know, maybe,' Chengxin shrugged.

Rio pulled him to one of the food stalls and checked her purse. 'Two churros please!' she shouted cheerfully and handed the money over to the seller.
