**Mew's POV**
I couldn't help but laugh at the photo that Moon had sent me and the zero reply Gulf had sent me as Becky walks out of the back with more supplies for the kids.
I don't understand why he hates his whiskers so much, I think there adorable and I kind of want to paint them on him again when he gets here because I already know that he's going to wash them off as soon as his customer leaves.
Becky: Peering over my shoulder. "What are you laughing at?"
Mew: I tilt my phone in her direction as she gazes at the photo. "Isn't he cute?"
Becky: "Very, why is there paint on his face?"
Mew: "There's this little girl that goes in their every few months to get her hair cut and she's afraid of the scissors so he lets her paint little whiskers on his face so she'll stay calm during the process."
Becky: "Huh, that's actually genius."
Mew: "I know right?"
Becky: "Are you positive that he's coming tonight?"
Mew: "Yea, he should be here as soon as his appointment is over."
Becky: "Good, I'm going to need his help with something."
Mew: "With what?"
Becky: "It's a surprise!"
I wanted to ask her more about it but I could see that the kids were getting impatient waiting for the new materials for their crafting day.
Becky likes to volunteer her space for kids and shelters when they have events because not a lot of places are open to letting them host there so every once in a while we have kids crafting days and that's what's been going on since this morning.
Were actually almost done but their are a few that haven't finished yet or had a chance to start until after all of the other kids so I want to help them as much as I can.
Mew: I point at the group of kids fighting over some glitter. "I'm going to go fix that, I'll be back."
Becky: "Take your time."
...
The next hour or so went by fairly quickly and there was maybe half as many kids in here as there was before and I was currently helping this little boy dip his hands in bright blue paint.
I guess his mom's birthday is coming up but she's staying in the hospital right now so he wants to do something special for her. He wants to position his hands in a heart shape but he couldn't get it perfect because he can't see where the paper is so it's always off center which is why he asked for help.
So that's what I'm here for, I'm moving his hands into the center of the paper and as soon as it hit the paper the bell on the front door rang and in walked Gulf.
He looked a little warn out but I figured it's just because Moon was teasing him.
Mew: I gave him a smile. "Hi!"
I could see the redness of his cheeks as he heads over to the counter and sits down before I look down at this 5 year old's master piece. I wanted to tell him that he did a good job but he didn't even pay attention to me as he runs over to his dad with a big grin before holding up his paper with pride.
Mew: I couldn't help but chuckle as I stand up to check up on a few others before heading over to him. "What are you grinning at?"
Gulf: "I was just thinking about how good you are with kids."
