**Earth's POV**
I'm really grateful for Mew, thanks to him I was able to take baby steps back into my daily life without breaking down every 10 minutes.
As each day goes on I am slowly becoming less upset. I understand that this will probably hurt me for a long time but leaving would have hurt worse and over time the pain will slowly go away.
Hopefully...
Not just things at home were getting better though, so are things at work. Apparently Fluke was right about my boss just testing me. I guess he's gone to the restaurant I want to work at in the future and he says that it is a tough place to work so he wanted to keep me ready for any situation.
Some of the things he put me through though were kind of fucked up as a training mechanism but I had to admit that it worked. With his help I have found a tiny bit more confidence and inspiration in my cooking.
Which is why once I got off early today I spent the next 30 minutes making food for Santa and than going to the book store to buy more material for new recipes.
What I hadn't expected was Santa getting upset for me and it took me by surprise a little bit that I almost forgot that I was upset with him.
Almost...
Now I'm sitting here waiting for his shoot to be over and I couldn't help but admire looking at him. He was definitely a model for a reason and the company he works at now takes better pictures in my opinion. His currently photographer is a lot more patient than the old one.
I might have stalked Lexi's account of Instagram when Santa told me about her and I fell in love with her work right away.
So for the most part things are getting better.
I was staring at one of my books that I had pulled out of my small backpack when Santa sits down and glances at what I was reading.
Santa: "We just finished everything if your ready to get going now. What are you reading?"
Earth: I slowly slide the book around in a circle so he could see it fully. "This is the new recipe I want to try but it seems simple to me so I bought 3 other books with similar ideas so I can blend them to make something new."
Santa: "That sounds delicious. You should definitely make it for me some time, I don't mind being the guinea pig."
Earth: I couldn't help but smile before rolling my eyes at him as I close the book and slide it back into my backpack. "You like anything that has to do with food. You have a food obsession and it's usually with things that are unhealthy."
Santa: "Hey if you made me healthy food every day I wouldn't complain."
Earth: "If I did that than we would be out of food every 3 days."
Santa: "See, so I save you from making 3 to 4 trips to the store a week. Aren't you glad?"
Earth: "Ecstatic..."
He was grinning like an idiot now as he stands up and grabs the food from the table. I put my backpack back on before standing up to join him.
Santa: "Do you want my driver to take us home or the train?"
Earth: "You know I like the train."
Santa: "Well, train it is than."
He proceeds to tell everyone good bye as I silently follow behind him toward the train station. I really don't know why today was different than any other day when it came to talking to him but I didn't feel weird today.
