Jessica barely got home before she got another phone call.
"'Hey S."
"Hey J. What are you doing right now?"
"About to take a long, needed bubble bath. Why?" Jessica said, going in her bathroom to turn on the water for her bubble bath.
"I need your help."
"With?"
"I'm supposed to be on babysit Sage and now she disappeared. Please help me find her."
"Serena." Jessica said, not really in the mood to help find a girl that likes the same guy she did.
"Please."
"I'm tired. I had a long rehearsal today. And now Blair wants me to walk her fashion show. So I need time to destress before I have to leave for that. And no offense, looking for Sage, does not sound fun. So, sorry."
Serena sighed. "Well it was worth a try."
"Serena don't you think it's better not to play mom."
"Hey!"
"What I'm saying is that yes you love Steven and you want to show him you are worthy of being the step mom for Sage, but don't you think you're moving too fast."
"I love Steven. And I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with him."
Jessica sighed. "What I said probably won't change your mind huh?"
"Probably not. But thanks for trying."
"Yeah yeah. Just go home. Who knows maybe she's already there."
"Thanks for somewhat helping Jess."
"You're welcome S. Are you going to Blair's fashion show tonight?"
"I don't think I'm invited."
Jessica sighed, not liking how her best friends are fighting over something so small if they just talked to each other. "S you gotta talk to Blair someday."
"I'm maturing Jess. I want to move on and start my new life with my new family."
"And that doesn't include Blair?"
"No."
"S..."
"Jess I gotta go. But good luck with the show tonight. I already know you'll kill it."
"Thanks S. I'll see you tomorrow." Jessica said, hanging up on her friend and throwing it on the counter. She dropped a bath bomb in and squeezed some essential oils in. She lit up a candle and put on some relaxing music before stripping out of her clothes and making her way in the bathtub.
She moaned at the nice feeling. For a moment it made her forget about her crazy life she so desperately tried to avoid over the years.
