"Sorry I'm late." Jessica said, running into the dressing room to meet a very pissed off Blair.
"I told you not to be late." Blair said, pointing to the watch on her wrist.
"No, you said don't cancel. Which I didn't."
Blair shook her head, before she was pulling her friend to hair and makeup. "Whatever. You're lucky to be blessed with nice skin. All we need is a bit of makeup here and there and we'll put you in something. Now chop chop."
Jessica sighed as she took a seat as the makeup artist did her thing. 10 minutes later, Jessica looked way more Blair standard.
"Here this." Blair shoved her outfit, pushing her to change. "C'mon J. Any day now. You're our first model up."
Jessica quickly changed her outfit. She did a small spin in front of her friend. "Well?"
Blair fixed the collar of my dress. "Perfect."
"Hey Blair." Jessica stopped her friend. "I'm proud of you."
"Thanks J." Blair said to her as she made her way to the stage.
In the corner of the eye she saw a familiar boy. But what she didn't expect was for him to lip lock the same girl from the Gala.
Their eyes meet and it's like the whole world stopped.
This was not how Nate wanted to tell Jessica of his new girlfriend. Especially since they were just on speaking terms again.
"Hey Jess." Nate said to the girl.
Jessica half-smiled. "Hey. Um. It's nice to see you again."
"You too. I didn't think you would be here."
Jessica shrugged. "What are best friends for right?"
Nate nodded. "Right. Look Jess?"
"Places everyone. J where are you?" They both heard Blair yell.
"I should go." Jessica said to the boy, only for him to nod, a little disappointed.
"Hey Jessie?" Nate said, stopping the girl by grabbing her hand. "Can we maybe talk later?"
Jessica nodded. "Sure."
With that she left, walking towards Blair.
"What Nate want?"
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing." Jessica said, feeling a little bit disappointed in herself for still having feelings for a guy who doesn't feel the same.
