TWENTY-THREE

"Everyone did an amazing job today. Remember, same time tomorrow. We'll actually go over everything so dress the part. See you loves tomorrow."

"Thank god rehearsals are over." Taylor said to the girl. "Can't wait for the show though. I'm a little nervous." 

Jessica laughed. "You're lucky you're not the one opening it."

"Oh please Jess. You're gonna kill it. You always do." Jasmine says.

"Yeah you got nothing to worry about. You're a badass mother fucker." Martha added.

"A lot of things could go wrong. Like tripping on my own foot, or falling face first." Jessica ranted.

They both laughed. "Stop stressing. It's not a good look on you,"

Jessica rolled her eyes at her friends. She pulled them both into a hug. "I'll see you guys tomorrow alright."

"Bye Jess."

Jessica was walking to her driver, until she got a call. "To what do I owe the pleasure Nathaniel?"

Nate laughed. "Hello to you too Jess."

"What's up?"

"What are you doing right now?"

"Well if you must know, I'm about to go home and take a long, well needed bubble bath." Nate chuckled. "Do not judge me for taking bubble baths."

"I'm not. Only if I can join you."

Jessica chuckled. "You have a girlfriend. Remember?"

"Not anymore."

"What?" Jessica was not gonna lie, she was a bit happy he was single now.

"We broke up. Sage and I did."

"Oh." Jessica said, not knowing what else to say. "You wanna talk about it?"

Nate laughed. He never knew why but the girl always made him feel at peace.

"Are you my therapist now or something?"

"Only if you need one."

"How about I tell you about dinner? Where are you? I'll pick you up."

Jessica smiled. "Well I'm on Madison Ave and 34th street. I'm staying at my parents' penthouse. So pick me up there?"

"I'm on my way."

"And maybe when we're done, we can have that bubble bath I was talking about."

"Can't wait."
