"All I've been trying to do for the past two years is just build something that I can be proud of. Instead I lost it and my reputation and most of my trust fund and... the girl I only loved." Nate said to his father.

"Sorry I wasn't there for you sooner, son. I just never wanted you to end up like me." Captain said.

Nate laughed. "Hey. You didn't end up so bad."

"And you still have Sage. So you didn't entirely lose her."

Nate shook his head. "Not her dad."

Nate couldn't believe people still think he liked Sage. Well he wasn't really good at showing Jessica off when they were together. So who could blame them?

Captain was confused. "Who?" Nate didn't say anything so that made Captain think. "Jessica?" Nate nodded. "When did that happen?"

"For a few days until I messed everything up."

"Did she know about everything?"

Nate shook his head. "She only knows why I had to break up with her. But everything else? No. It's better that way."

"How do you know that?"

"She's made a career for herself. She was the highest paid model of 2012. She wouldn't want to be a fraudster like me."

Captain shook his head. "I think that's her decision to make."

"I just thought that it was the right time now you know."

"It will be son. Once all this blows over, you can just explain to her about everything. And if she truly loves you like she said she does, everything will work out." Captain said. "Whatever you decide to set your mind to next I know you can achieve it."

"Thank dad." Nate said, pulling his dad into a hug.

For once in Nate's life, he knew exactly what he wanted.
