THIRTY-FOUR

Blair got roped into Serena and Dan's Thanksgiving get together. Jessica on the other hand kindly declined the offer and was on her way to her private jet. She was supposed to fly to LA where she could spend a few days there with her family before going to Paris for fashion week.

But you know, like everything else in her life, the weather conditions cancelled all flights.

"Sonia, please say you're joking." Jessica said.

"Miss Jessica I wish I was." Sonia said.

How could they just close the entire airport?

"Well my life couldn't get any worse."

"Actually Miss Jessica.... Mr Nate never responded back to your text."

Jessica scoffed. Of course he didn't. First he tells her he loves her then he randomly breaks up with her. Nothing made sense.

"Miss Jessica I could cook up some Thanksgiving dinner and we can enjoy it together."

The girl shook her head. "No it's ok Sonia. You should be with your family."

"But Miss Jessica..."

"Not buts Sonia. You have been more than helpful with me. And I'm grateful to have you in my life."

"Thank you Miss Jessica."

She gives her a hug. "Happy Thanksgiving."

Jessica smiled. "Happy Thanksgiving Sonia. Now go."

Sonia gives the girl one last smile before she leaves.

Why would someone just close the entire airport? It makes no sense.

Jessica was pulled out of her thoughts until she heard her phone ring. "Hey S."

"Hey J. Happy Thanksgiving."

Jessica laughed. " Happy Thanksgiving to you too even if I saw you a few hours again."

"Judging from your excellent connection, your flight got cancelled too?"

"Funny how you mention that. They apparently closed the entire airport for reasons I don't even know."

"I figured. My mom and Bart were supposed to leave for Turks and Caicos but they said the airport was closed. So I assumed either you beat that and landed in LA or you're stuck here."

"Yeah I wished I beat it. How can they just closed an entire airport? Don't they realize people do late minute travels like myself."

She laughs again. "Listen if you don't have anything to do, my offer is still there."

"I don't know S."

"C'mon J. Blair's here, Chuck's here, my mom, Dorota, and let's not forget Nate."

Jessica rolled her eyes when she mentioned Nate. "Me and Nate aren't really on speaking terms right now."

"What do you mean?"

"He broke up with me. Didn't you hear?"

"Seriously? Maybe he's been busy. I know he's been dealing a lot with The Spectator."

"I guess you're right." Jessica said, trying to find excuses.

"So you coming?"

"Ok. I'll come."

"Great." Jessica could hear her squeal over the phone. "I have apple pie waiting for you." And then she hangs up.

Jessica sighed as she walked into her closet to pick out something to wear. If she was going to confront Nate, she was gonna do it in style.
