"Hey, Sh, Sh, Sh," Kaleo hushed the little baby in his arms but she refused to stop crying, "Ha'aheo ka ua i na pali. Ke nihi a'ela i ka nahele," He sang softly. Kova's cry quieted as he continued to sing to her.

Rocking back and forth and singing Kova finally was calm enough that Kaleo placed her down in the crib. Once he laid down he was able to watch her fall asleep and eventually he followed. Though just a few short hours later her cry pierced the silence, "Hey baby I'm here," He whispered still half asleep.

Even though everyone told him don't come to her every time she cries, he couldn't bear to hear her cry. What if she was scared of the dark? Or in pain? Or-

His thought was quickly cut off with another wail. Kaleo searched for the pacifier and Kova quieted once getting it, "Alright, now try and sleep," He told her.

Though she wasn't a great listener and woke him up 10 minutes later. It seemed every time he placed her in the crib she wailed and cried till he picked her up, "Alright fine," He muttered to himself. He put the boppy on the ground and set Kova down on it. He then laid next to her with his head on the side of it. Her hand wrapped around Kaleo's thumb when he put it over her stomach and for a moment the butterflies in his stomach were wide awake.

Kissing the top of her head before falling asleep, Kova didn't want up till 10 am the next morning and neither did Kaleo.

Waking up to the frantic radar alarm on my phone I quickly shut it off, "Well you sure have a late start," My dad said coming downstairs buttoning his uniform, "You needed the sleep anyway."

I just nodded while yawning trying to wake up, "What're we doing today?"

"Well, you going to school-"

"I mean after school."

"Well um, there's nothing planned. I have to come home right after my shift and go to bed because I work early morning."

After getting dressed for school I grabbed my phone seeing it was at only 10 percent, "Ugh," I whined a little.

"What?" My dad asked quietly.

"My phones dying. I don't have time to charge it."

He sighed and pulled the phone out of his pocket, "Here," He handed me the black charging case.

"Yay," I grinned changing cases, "Here," I handed him mine.

"I'm not using that," He said looking at the Roses on the back.

"Do you want to pay 200 dollars to fix it if you break your phone?"

"No," He whined putting it on.

"Alright, I'm gonna go," I gave him a quick hug and turned to walk out the door, "Hey you forgot something," He tapped the badge and I quickly kissed it but still wasn't able to make the door, "Kova... Make sure you play nice with Maverick. At least until you two can get along."

"I will Love you."

"Love you too. Drive safe."

I eagerly sipped the straw of my drink listening to Finn's story, "So, I told him "Hey we should hang out sometime" and-"

"Did he respond?"

"Kova, let me finish."

"My bad."

"He has not responded, but I think I have a real shot with this guy."

"He's a Private schoolboy though. You hate-"

"He sweet and hot, the private school doesn't matter here. Anyways, enough about me. How'd the dinner go?"

"Uh, It went okay. Asher and I get along great..."
