17 years ago, my mom walked out of my life. 17 years ago... I was left to be raised by a high school junior. Not gonna lie, my dad was kinda a fuck up as a teenager. I mean I'm here... But look at it from a different side though. My dad yes, had me when he was 16 but he also stepped up and took responsibility and raised me. But I'm not saying he didn't really fuck up along the way.

"Good game Blackwell," Tyson, the quarterback of the high school football team, patted his back as they headed to the bus.

Kaleo held his bag tightly as the students from Stadium watched the team board the bus. Kaleo took one last look at the scoreboard in their victorious win 45-0. A complete blowout and more points were scored by the defense than offense.

The two students, and football players, waited for the coach to go out of view, "Aye, 9," The player called to Kaleo by his number.

"Yeah?" He said confused.

"Good game," He said sticking his hand out to Kaleo's surprise.

"Thanks-" Kaleo didn't have time to react to the punch he didn't see coming.

"Ow," He mumbled stumbled back holding his cheek, "What the fuck?!" He called them out.

"You wanna play dirty? Then let's play dirty," The two shoved Kaleo down to the ground punching and kicking him but he wasn't helpless. He kicked one of them back in the crotch causing him to stumble back in pain and the other he grabbed by the sweatshirt and threw on the ground next to him.

The two were down and he could've walked away but didn't. He went after the one on the ground next to him doing the same thing he did to him. Kicking and punching till a Tacoma Police officer pulled him off and shoved him to the ground.

Kaleo didn't have time to even think about a response before the officer was cuffing him, "Hey, what the hell did I do?" Kaleo shouted. Though the officer wasn't done as he cuffed the other two as well.

"You ready for bed baby?" Katelyn asked the small child in her arms. They knew getting Kova to sleep without Kaleo there wasn't going to happen easily. Though they didn't have much time till Kaleo got home from his football game.

"She even look like she's falling asleep?" Harley asked.

"No. Not at all," Katelyn responded sighing, "She looks so much like him."

Harley looked over, "Yeah," He responded only half caring or paying attention. He took another sip from the big wave ale bottle, "Where is Kaleo? He should've been home by now."

"I'm not sure," Katelyn looked around the house.

Just at the perfect time, the landline phone sitting next to Harley started ringing, "Hello?"

Katelyn looked over fearing the worst from a late-night phone call when their son was late being home. Analyzing Harley's facial expressions she got a more mad and annoyed than worried and fearful, "Yeah I'll be right there," Harley muttered pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Harley, what's going on?" Katelyn asked, "Where's Kaleo?"

Harley stood up grabbing his jacket, "Sitting in a Tacoma PD holding cell."

"What?!" Katelyn said standing up fast. That's when the cry from Kova began as she wiggled to try and stretch out of the tightly swaddled blanket.

"I'll be back," Harley said annoyed tossing the Bronco keys in his hand.

When the truck pulled up to the well-lit police station he walked in fully ready with a speech and punishment for Kaleo. He told the desk his name and who he was picking up. Kaleo walked out escorted by two Tacoma Officers. Kaleo fiddled with the end of his sweatshirt till he saw his dad, "Shit..." He muttered under his breath.
