"Alright, you know the plan?" Reeves asked Reyes again.
"Yeah."
"Alright repeat it back to me."
He sighed, "Fly into El Paso, cross the border into Ciudad Juárez... find Eddies Marine buddy-"
"You got the address?"
"Yeah."
"Alright after that?"
"Find my mom, get to the border where a K-9 officer and a Sherriff are waiting, take a plane back to Seattle."
"Good. Be careful, both of you," Reeves said eyeing Kogin.
"We will be."
"Alright."
Reeves pulled Reyes into a hug, "Be safe kid."
"I will."
Kogin hugged me, "I love you," He muttered kissing the top of my head.
"Love you too."
Reyes pulled me into a frantic and tight hug, "Come home to us," I muttered.
"I will I promise."
He pulled away but kept his hand on my shoulder, "Don't do anything stupid till I get back."
"How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you," He laughed and leaned down to kiss my forehead.
The two turned to walk into the airport as I stood next to Reeves, "I hope they'll be okay," I muttered.
"They'll be fine," He told me.
It was late when I got home. Still no sign of Jax. I walked up to my parent's room to see if I could go over and check on him. When I opened the door my dad sat on the opposite side of the bed mom next to him rubbing his back as he had his face in his hands, "I- Just, I can't. For once in my life, I have no idea how to protect anyone from this. God only knows what the kids have gone through and not told us. Clara, our families in danger and I have no idea how to fix it."
Mom sighed, "As you said, It's our family, It's not all on you. We'll figure this out," She looked down, "I don't wanna leave you alone but I have to go to my shift."
"Yeah, yeah I know..." He nodded quickly trying to pull himself together.
I stepped on the creaky floorboard and my parents both looked back at me, "Hey honey," Mom smiled.
"Dad, are you okay?" I asked first.
"Yeah, baby I'm fine," I walked over to the other side of the bed and immediately tackled him with a hug, "Thanks Coco," He laughed a little.
Once mom had gone for her shift I looked back at my phone and the several unanswered and unread text messages to Jax, "Dad?"
"Hm?"
"Jax isn't answering me, he should've been here hours ago. Can I go check on him?"
My dad sighed, "Fine, but I'm going with you."
I nodded simply as we got in the truck and drove towards Jax's house, "His trucks still here," I told myself.
"And the front doors open..." My dad noticed first, "Stay in the car."
"Where I'm unarmed and out in the open? No. I'm coming with."
Me making a convincing point I followed my dad in as he pulled out the gun, "James?" He asked entering the house.
