Chapter 20: The Lady of the Lake

I opened my eyes, isang pamiliar na all white background ang bumungad sakin.

Holy shit--- Am I dead?

As far as I remembered, I touched this random captivating berry then after that, I fainted, I can't recall the scenes consequently.

I was about to stand up, but I just realized that Zyair was beside me, sleeping at the couch while holding my hand.

Napangiti naman ako, this cute guy.

I examined the surroundings and I just realized that I am in the hospital, di lang mukha kase medjo sosyalin ang datingan niya, very classy and royalty ang datingan which is I'm not familliar with.

"Thank God you're awake." Ani ni Zyair. Oh, did I wake him?

"Hi, good morning." I greeted him. He gave me a confusing look.

"Good afternoon?" I nebulously asked. I don't know what time it is, I'm guessing it's morning or afternoon already.

"It's already 6 PM in the evening." Sagot niya. Awts gege, di man lang tumama sa hula ko.

"Oh, I see. What happened to me Zyair? That last thing that I remembered is that I fainted because I touched the berry." I said while fixing the bed sheet.

Ilang araw na ba ko nandito sa hospital? I want to go home in Bethony.

"Yes, you fainted because you touched a poisonous berry. You've been pass out for five days." Sagot niya.

Ano?! Five days, bakit ang tagal naman? Akala mo naman naaksidente ako eh noh.

"Was my condition that bad? To the point it took me five days to wake up?" I asked. I find it very unusual.

"Touching that berry made your body unconcious, it is rare to cure for someone who touched a pokeweed berry it can kill you, but thankfuly we knew someone who can give you the best medication immidiately." Ani niya at napatango nalang ako.

Hmmm it looks like the effect of that pokeweed berry is very dangerous, thank you Lord for waking me up and giving me a second chance to live. Promise po mag-iingat na ko palagi!

"Can we go home?" I asked. Q

I hate going to hospitals, I don't like the environment surrounded by people with illness. I also don't like the smell of mixed medicines.

"You need to rest first---" Di ko na siya pinatuloy sa sasabihin niya dahil pinutol ko agad ito.

"Isn't five days rest enough?" Inis kong sabi. I may be a troublesome but I just want to go home.

Napabuntong hininga naman siya. Yiree papayag na yan, I'm sure he can't resist my charms *hair flip*.

"Okay fine, but you're not allowed to go outside. Just stay inside the palace. We'll go home tomorrow." He said and I nod at once.

"By the way, we're here in Alvania since they are known for the best herbal and marine medicines. I hope it's fine for you, King and Queen were very kind to let's us stay in the palace of Alvania." Mahaba niyang sabi.

Shit, does it mean they we went here in Alvania just to cure me? Aish, I'm such a worrisome.

"I'm sorry for the trouble, I'll be careful next time promise." Panatag ko, I should be I can't let myself doing some stupid things, they might be suspecious about me.
