Chapter 26: Sweet Escape

Aizaia Yzabelle's POV

Everyone looked at me like I owe them an explanation. I glanced at Zyair and base on his facial expression, it seems to be unexpected for him too.

"Monique! What are you talking about? She is Shaniel, she is my daughter!" Pagtanggol sakin ni Lady Soleil. All of the guest gave us a confusing look.

"Really? As far as I know Shaniel has a birthmark at her back, you can check it. See it for yourself." Monique said pero agad namang dumipensa si Zyair.

"Stop your nonesense Monique! You're ruining our engagement party! Umalis ka na dito." Zyair warned.

"Guards, check it." Lady Soleil said with authority, agad akong sunugod ng dalawang guwardya at tiningnan ang likuran ko.

"Lady Soleil, negative. She doesn't have the birthmark that Princess Shaniel has." Ani ng guwardya.

I just turned my head and couldn't help but sigh. I have no intention of fooling Lady Soleil, of fooling them all.

"Y-you're not S-Shaniel? Please t-tell me your my d-daughter." She stammered.

I slowly shook my head, there is no point of lying. Nabuking na ko, it's over.

"I'm s-sorry." Paumanhin ko, I can't look directly into her eyes because of guilt and shame. I'm sorry Lady Soleil.

"Kung hindi ikaw ang anak ko... NASAN SI SHANIEL? NASAN ANG ANAK KO!" Galit niyang sabi at niyugyog ang balikat ko.

"Calm down Lady Soleil---" di na natuloy ni Zyair ang sasabihin niya dahil pinutol ito ni Lady Soleil.

"Calm down? Paano ako hihinahon kung hindi ko alam kung nasan ang anak ko!" Sigaw ni niya at naoasabunot nalang sa buhok nito.

"Kasabwat ka ba sa babaeng yan ha Zyair?!" Tanong ito at napaiwas nalang ng tingin si Zyair.

"L-Lady Soleil, hindi man po ako ang totoo niyong anak pero wala po kaming ginawang masama kay Shaniel. Hindi po namin siya sinaktan at ligtas po siya." Sabi ko at bigla niya naman akong hinawakan sa buhok at sinabunutan.

"You impostor! Do even think that I'll believe you? After all this time, both of you lied to me and made me look like a fool!" She said and wipped her tears.

"I'm sorry, I understand that you're mad but please don't---" I couldn't continue what I was going to say because she slapped me.

"GUARDS GET THEM!" Lady Soleil commanded and and the guards took us.

"Aray! Biatawan niyo ko!" Pagpupumilit ko pero lalo lang nila mas hinigpitan ang pagkakahawak sakin.

Kinaladkad na kami ni Zyair paalis ng palasyo at nagsi-alisan na rin ang mga bisita sa ever ball.

"T-take me instead! Let go of Yzabelle!" Ani Zyair pero hindi parin kami pinansin ng mga guwardya.

I looked behind the tree when I noticed that there was a shadow there, I looked at it carefully and closely, I was surprised to see Zirah hiding, Zyair’s younger sister.

To my surprise, she was carrying a large piece of wood and beat the three guards guarding using it.

"Tumakas na kayo, Zyair, Shaniel!" Zirah said worriedly.

"Zirah get out of here, ayokong madamay ka pa sa gulong pinasok ko. Makinig ka sakin, kuya mo ko!" Suway nito.

Zirah looked at me. "Ate Shaniel --- or whatever your name is, please take care of my brother. Don't leave him and protect each other." She said.
