While walking back to class, Sieun saw Cheng Xiao, so she ran and caught up to the girl.

"Just now, I saw you play badminton with Aisha. You were so agile that you could even reach corners that were supposed to be out of reach for you!" Sieun exclaimed. Cheng Xiao smiled.

"I learned gymnastics and martial arts in case someone attacks me..." Cheng Xiao became silent and muttered a "goodbye" before walking to the front, gathering speed. Sieun raised an eyebrow, and suddenly, the puzzles clicked into one. She dragged the girls home after school. When the girls entered the apartment, they whined about Sieun, who rushed them home. But Sieun, oblivious to the whining, locked the door and drew the curtains open. The girls put their bags on the floor and sat down on the beige sofas, seeing that Sieun had something to say.

"Guys, Cheng Xiao is the asset."

"Wait, are you sure?"

"She said that she learned gymnastics and other martial arts to protect herself in case someone attacks her."

"But anyone can learn martial arts to protect themselves," Yeeun said, still sulky about Sieun dragging her home.

"I'm pretty sure. Who would say that they learn martial arts but suddenly stops talking and freeze as if it was something secret?" Sieun retorted.

"Then we will have to ask her. How are we going to do that?" Sumin asked.

"We'll just have to talk to her on Monday," Seeun yawned.

"Alright, anyways, here's some fortune cookies Keeho sent me. He said that there was too much for his group to finish," Yoon took out a cute pink bag filled with six cookies. Each of them grabbed one and broke open the cookie. "Mingi's brother?" Sumin asked. Mingi was the girls' classmate. Yoon nodded.

"Hey, remember that god of destruction senior, Namjoon? He ate the whole cookie without even taking out the paper," Yeeun recalled, making the girls laugh.

"Yeah, he had to take out the soggy paper from his mouth," Sieun added between laughs. They ate the cookie in silence.

"Let's read out our fortune!" Yeeun said. "I'll succeed in things I put my mind into." Isa made a funny face.

"Okay...mine is that I'll ace my exams, " Yoon said and shrugged.

"Mine is that I will save someone one day," Seeun said, and the other five started discussing. "Who will it be?" Yeeun asked. Seeun shrugged. "It's just a fortune cookie."

"I will meet someone friendly. Huh. Strange," Sumin said.

"That was mine, and now you gave me this. Mine is I will meet the person i used to hate a lot." Yeeun huffed.

"What about you?" Isa asked Sieun, who kept on scratching her head after breaking open the cookie.

"An animal will help me? What??" The girls shrugged.

The sky was like a blank canvas painted orange and red, with a tinge of purple, by nature. Isa walked along the cobbled pavement, watching the city go by slowly. It was still quite early, and since she had dinner, she decided to stroll and admire the scenery. She loved city nights. It always made her nostalgic. The modern apartments and buildings dotted every single landscape of the city, the tall trees by the roadside. She reached a convenience store and got a vanilla ice cream. She then walked to Banpo Bridge which was near the girls' house. The bridge was two-tiered, with a road and a pavement beside it. She stood there watching the sun go down while eating ice cream.

When the moon appeared, she decided it was time to go back. She turned around and walked back to her apartment. She entered her apartment lift lobby and pressed the button "34". The lift doors started closing until they opened again, revealing Jeongwoo. They stared at each other, and the latter entered the lift, pressing "35". The lift doors closed, and silence filled the air.

"Why are you here?"

"I live here."

Silence. Who would even want to speak with the friend of someone she hated?

"Anyway, the afternoon's badminton game was good. I didn't know that you were good at badminton."

"My father used to teach me," Isa said, keeping her sentence short as possible. The lift reached level 34, and the doors opened.

"See you on Monday then."

"See you." Isa went out. She scanned her fingerprint, and the digital lock made a chime before opening. She entered the foyer and saw the girls sitting on the sofas.

"Wait, when did they live here?" Yoon asked Isa.

"I didn't ask," Isa said, taking off her sling bag. The girls nodded.

"Were you awkward?" Sumin asked.

"Nah. It was okay. He's my schoolmate, so why should I be," Isa replied, cracking her back and knuckles.

"Anyways, pool time tomorrow evening?" Yeeun asked. They nodded and watched some Netflix before going to bed.
