Like those flowers in the bunch, everyone is a human, but everyone is different and unique and stand out in their own way.

A person asked her yesterday,
"Why do you have so much weight on your body?"

Another one asked my friend,
"Why do you have so many scars on your face and body?"

I heard two people talking one day and one of them asked the other,
"How can you love a person of your own gender? That's so weird."

A friend of mine asked me one day,
"Why do you always feel so anxious? It frustrates me."

These questions are so common,
Yet so hurting, right?
When I listen to these,
It makes me feel like there is nothing out there other than being 'perfect'.

And if perfect and beautiful means
Having a good body,
A good face,
Straight sexuality,
Being an all-time positive person,
A person who doesn't have highs and lows,
Then I would like to tell you.

If you have weight on your body,
Then you're beautiful.

If you have scars on your face and body,
Then you're beautiful.

If you have highs and lows,
Then you're still beautiful.

If you don't want to be around people all the time,
Then you're still beautiful.

If you love a person of the same gender or you don't,
Then you're still so beautiful.

And never worry
About what people say,
Because they just want to take away your happiness and then leave,
And never want to come to terms with their insecurities.

Trust me,
Scars are unique.
Being weird is unique.
Loving yourself is unique.
Being gay, lesbian, asexual and bisexual is unique.
Even insecurities and anxiety are unique.

And most of all,
Whatever you do,
You are still unique.

And always, in a good way.

Because standards don't matter,
Not anymore.
And they won't ever matter.
Why?
Because these and many other features
Are what make you UnIqUe,
Beautiful,
Special.

They are what help you grow,
And if you look hard enough,
You might just find your happiness in them forevermore.

P.S. I might just warn you that I love the word 'evermore'. And if you follow Taylor Swift, you might just know that the name of her album is also 'evermore' (surprise, surprise). So maybe, I got some inspiration from her? Only from the title though. So be warned, you might just see this word and other inspiring things in many of my poems.
