Beautiful sounds emitted by the keys of a classic, grand piano, inundated the room. The balcony's window was opened, letting the night atmosphere slip inside the salon.

She was sat in a leather stool, a few centimetres away from the keyboard. Her slim fingers caressed the black and white keys slowly, creating a soft melody. The moonlight highlighted her pale skin and cheekbones, and traced her shadowy silhouette in the wall. An empty glass of wine sat on the closed, piano lid.

Her body swinged from side to side slowly, as it accompanied the romantic riff, over and over again. Her eyes were closed and her lips pressed against each other, focusing purely on the melody.

Meanwhile, Alex found himself leaning on the door frame, holding his own glass of liquor. He was dressed in a half-unbuttoned white shirt and navy blue trousers. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, emphasising the veins in his forearms.

He was staring at her, scanning her every detail with an smirk plastered on his face while he took dignified sips from his whiskey. He swallowed the alcohol, burning inside his throat as he licked his lips.

She turned around to him, catching Alex's gaze fixed on her. She just smirked and continued caressing the keys.

In that moment, she heard footsteps approaching her. They were slow, heavy, and had a hint of teasing. The sounds of his knocking boots echoed in the room, which made more difficult for her trying to avoid his presence.

A few steps later, Alex was sat beside her. He placed his empty glass next to hers, and ran his hand through his hair, pushing it away from his face and forehead.

She started the same pattern again, and Alex quickly recognised it. Therefore, he followed the melody with both of his hands, moving his fingers at the same pace as her, hitting the exact same notes, an octave higher.

She turned around when the notes filled her ears, and smirked at Alex. Then, she bit her lip and brushed her nose against his, closing her eyes. He imitated her, smiling softly at the sensation. He would never get tired of her closeness, no matter how many years passed by.

Suddenly, she pulled away, and started the melody over again. However, that time it was different, as, surprisingly, she parted her lips and started singing.

"City of stars,
are you shining just for me?
City of stars,
there's so much that I can't see.

Who knows?
I felt it from the first embrace
I shared with you,
That now our dreams,
will finally come true."

The same riff was played again, and Alex bit his lip, hesitantly of what to do. Finally, he came to a conclusion, and cleared his throat.

"City of stars,
Just one thing everybody wants,
There in the bars, and though the smokescreen
of the crowded restaurants."

Alex bopped her nose, earning a giggle from her.

"It's love." He laughed shortly.

"Yes, all we're looking for is love,
From someone else."

"A rush." He sang.

"A glance." She responded.

"A touch."

"A glance."

They stopped playing. Alex's fingers travelled to the highest piano keys, and after 3 seconds of absolute silence, he slid his fingers down the instrument, the Glissando echoing through the room.

Suddenly, he stopped when he reached her part. He brushed his nose with hers again, and looked down at her lips, smiling. He brought his face even closer, so close that their lips were brushing.

However, when she closed her eyes, gagging for  him to kiss her, he pulled away and started singing again.

"A look in somebody's eyes,
To light up the skies,
To open the world and send me reeling
A voice that says
I'll be here, and you'll be alright."

He winked at her, making her laugh again. She started singing too, joining him and starting a duet.

"I don't care if I know
Just where I will go
'Cause all that I need, this crazy feeling
Ra-ta-tat of my heart."

He pressed three tiles with his fingers, forming a chord. She took her hands from the piano, watching him closely as he stepped on the right piano pedal and opened his mouth again, finishing what he had started.

"I think I want it to stay."

She continued, restarting from where he had left it.

"City of stars..."

She pressed her forehead against his, after she had freed the piano of her fingers. He looked at her closed eyes, and smile at the simple sight of her, singing and playing next to him.

"You never shined so brightly."

They pronounced this last line together, sighing once it had rolled out from their tongues completely. She fell down on his shoulder, burying her face in the crook of his neck, while he wrapped his arm around her and kissed her temple, bringing her very close.

Their knees were brushing, their fingers, intertwined, and their bodies, huddled up together. They stood in that position for a while, until Alex tilted her chin with his finger and kissed her slowly.

Their lips connected for the first time since the music started. Alex's lips were warm and soft, inviting, and they moved eagerly with her plump, rosy lips.

Eventually, their tongues started fighting and dancing together. Alex kept her close by placing his hands on her cheekbones, while she had shifted to his lap and was playing with his soft, curly locks to kiss him better, earning groans when she pulled from them just the way he loved.

The kiss was slow but passionate. Hence, when they pulled away, they were gasping for air, struggling to catch a breath but impatient for the feeling of their lips moving together again.

Alex brushed her hair from her face, tugging it behind her ear, and smiled at her, knocking his nose against hers. Afterwards, he whispered:

"Happy anniversary, my love. I'm yours, forever."

Short but cute !! I really like it, I want what these two have !!

However, I'm not gonna be very active for a month approximately, because I'm graduating and I have a school trip !! I'll try to write stuff if I can, I have some stuff planned so I'll just try to put it in words.
