The Search

AVENGERS TOWER

Julia arrived at the Avengers tower to ask about Peter's whereabouts. She entered the tower and went directly to where Avengers were lounging around.

She saw members of Avengers divided into small groups and chatting. Tony, Clint and Rhodey, we're sitting near the bar and having drinks. It looked like Tony is boasting about some of his misadventures with women. Rhodey was sighing animatedly while looking towards, where Jessica, Jennifer, Natasha and Carol were gossiping. He was looking at Carol discreetly and listening to Tony's rambling.

Clint was doing the same, but with Jessica, taking sips from his drink and in a not so subtle way staring at her.

At a nearby table Sam, Bucky and Steve were playing cards and giving knowledge to Sam about their various missions in past.

Thor was recounting his glory to Bruce Banner with a big jug of mead in his hand, while Banner is trying not to fall asleep.

The women were having their discussion until they noticed Julia coming towards them in a hurry.

" Whoa whoa whoa, 😮 Julia.....take a breath, what happened? Why in such a hurry?" asked Jessica aka Spider-woman catching others attention.

" Jessica have you seen Spider-man " inquired Julia.

" Noooo.....but what happened? why are you searching for that bug anyway?" asked Jennifer aka She hulk feeling indifferent.

The other women in the room shot her fierce glares but were not noticed by others.

" I'm not able to find him anywhere" replied Julia.

" Then find him with your unique sense,"   said Jessica in a cryptic tone.

' Then why don't you find him through the web of life ' thought Jessica to Julia.

' That's the problem, I'm not able like he just disappeared from the network, someone might be hiding his presence or he learned to mask his presence in the web' replied Julia telepathically.

" What's such a big deal, he might be somewhere in the city doing his supposedly ' hero work' " said Tony sarcastically which annoyed the women except Jennifer.

" let the bug do whatever he does, why don't you join us and have a drink," said Clint in an annoyed tone " There's nothing special about him anyway "

" No, I don't have any time to waste, and he's more important than you" replied Julia.

Thor burst out laughing which woke Banner up who was half asleep.

" what happened what did I miss?"

" I need to go if anyone of you sees him or find his whereabouts contact me," she said and went to search for him.

" That damn big " fumed Clint silently.

BAXTER BUILDING

The fantastic family was watching TV except for Reed who was in his lab.

Julia entered their living room and gained their attention.

" Hey Julia, nice to see you, what brought you here this late," asked Susan

" Sorry to interrupt your family time, but have you seen Peter?" enquired Julia.

" No... I'm sorry, we've never met with him for a long time" replied Susan.
