Hold Me Tight | Ns.R

Written to Jigeum_Buteo1021 to help with your insomnia~

You let out a small groan as you squirmed around in the tight grip that was a round you. But seeing as the boy who was clinging onto you literally held you as if he was a koala sitting on a branch, you being the branch, it was almost near impossible to move. Your already existing insomnia, which the boy was very well aware of, didn't make it easier for you to fall asleep either.

You knew that by the way his arms was squeezing you and how hos legs was tightly wrapped around you, there was no way you'll be able to fall asleep like this. Having him nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck while small light snores escaped him was somewhat calming to you, but not enough for you to actually fall asleep from it. You knew what you had to do and it pained you having to do what you needed to get your night's sleep.

"Riki," your voice was hoarse and tired as you reached your hand up and slapped his cheek softly, immediately feeling him shake his head to try and get rid of your hand, "Riki," you repeated and slapped his cheek once again making his head immediately lift up and he looked around the dark room with squinted eyes.

In his confused daze the poor boy accidentally knocked his head into the wall beside him, making you sigh and pull his head back down on the pillow, a content hum immediately escaping from his throat.

"Why'd you wake me?" he muttered against the skin of your neck.

"I can't sleep," you excused and he just hummed in return, "I can't sleep when you hold onto me like that."

"Oh..." he  muttered and slowly unwrapped his arms and legs from you, "sorry."

You quietly watched as he just wrapped his arms and legs around the duvet, removing any duvet that was covering you, and rolling over on his other side so that his back was to you.

"Yah... Riki," you called out and patted his shoulder making him immediately shake his head, "Riki... Niki... Nishimura Riki," you called out making him immediately roll back to look, "please... my insomnia isn't leaving me alone."

"It's your insomnia?" his demeanor immediately switched as he changed from an offended small princess to a concerned lover.

"Yeah," you slowly nodded making a small pout grow on his face.

He immediately pushed the duvet over behind him and spread his arms wide open, waving his hands for you to move closer.

"Come here," he urged.

You glanced at his face before quietly nodding and moving over into his embrace. You didn't even get to wrap your arms around him before he immediately had nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck, of course placing a small peck on your cheek before actually doing it. 

You let out a small laugh before wrapping your arms around him as well. Slowly one of his hands went up to the back of your head and carefully caressed your nape with a soft touch.

"Do you want me to hum that lullaby?" Niki muttered into the crook of your neck, referring to the lullaby you had taught him. The same your mom used to sing to you whenever you had trouble sleeping.

"Please," you murmured in return.

You could feel him smile against your skin before you heard him slowly begin to hum that lullaby that could calm you down just a tad bit more than his quiet snores. 

You quietly laid in his arms with your eyes closed, listening to him softly hum the melody to him while you felt the sensation of his soft caresses on your nape and the small circles he was drawing on your back.

"Feeling sleepy yet?" he questioned, stopping his humming as he pulled the duvet back over the two of you.

"A bit," you muttered, "I feel tired, but I can't sleep."

"Just hold me tight and I'll hold you tight and that way we'll fall asleep at the same time, together," he reminded you, pulling away from the crook of your neck and flashing you his bright boxy smile.

"You promise that?" you questioned him and he immediately nodded.

"When have I not been right about this?" he questioned making you go silent.

It was true that he had an impressive ability to make you fall asleep with no problem, even those nights when your insomnia was really bad. You didn't answer him, you just stayed silent making him let out a small laugh of amusement at you.

"Just hold me tight and I'll make sure you get into dreamland," he assured and pressed a kiss to your forehead.

His hand slid over on the back of your head and pulled it over on his chest. You felt yourself rest even more as you could hear the slow and rhythmic sound of Niki's heart beating in his chest.

"Hold me tight and you'll be sleeping soon," Niki assured once more making you tiredly nod against his chest.

Slowly, second by second you felt your eyelids drop just a bit more with each circle that was rubbed on your back. You felt so safe and secure that your insomnia disappeared along with Niki's own consiousnes and you felt yourself slowly slide into dreamland as Niki continued to hold onto you in a tight, yet comforting way.
