Why haven't they said anything yet?
Why haven't I said anything yet?

I let out a small sigh as I placed my chin in the palm of my hand, staring at the back of his head in front of me. He was so sweet it was unbelieveable, it was almost like he was made by sugar.

He should be so easy to talk to, but everytime I stumble over my feet and words and just embarrass myself.

But he always smiles so reassuringly, helps me up when I trip, gathers my books for me, follows me to my classes to make sure I'm alright.

Why are you so sickly sweet Kim Sunoo?

"Looks like we're partners," the bright smile in front of my face turns around and looks at me with the usual reassurance that I am enough. I don't even think he smiles like that on purpose, it's just how he is. He is reassurance itself, "you there?" he let out a small laugh when I didn't reply.

"Yeah, sorry, sorry," I excused and ran a hand through my hair, "just tired," I excused and sent him a small smile.

Hold up

I just spoke to him without stumbling over my words in any way. My voice didn't even shake one bit.

Alright, alright

It's all good, it's just a simple project that we have to write together, nothing else. It's not like it's terribly embarrasing or intimate.

둘, 셋
You know I been lookin' at you
I know you been lookin' at me lookin' at you
Lookin' at you, aw

One week in and I have yet to embarrass myself in front of him. Or at least I thought so until he looked up from his notebook as he sat there beside me. He let out a small laugh as he glanced at me and I immediately realized I had been looking.

How embarrassing.

"It's not embarrassing to look," he softly spoke as I stared intensely at the empty notes page in front of me, I desperately tried to calm down the blush on my cheeks, "see? Now I'm looking at you."

I felt him softly run a hand over my hair before a small giggle escaped him and I quickly lifted my notebook up in front of my face as his giggles turned into a smaller cuter laugh. Why was he so soft and caring, so delicate, in every move he did?

"I know you've been looking at me," he commented and I let out a small sigh, "even in class, I can feel your eyes on the back of my head."

"Can you stop?" I muttered and he just hummed quietly.

"I would be looking at you too, if you didn't sit behind me," he commented and I slowly lowered my notebook to look at him, just to check if he was joking.

But he was just sitting there... a small smile on his face as he flipped the page of his book. Not one hint of joking on his features.

Cravin' you, like, all afternoon
Someday, I'll be gettin' a taste
Kiss ya from your tummy to your nose to your waist

My dreams are filled with him now... he just is everywhere I look. It's like he invaded my mind and set his mark, not wanting to leave my mind no matter how desperately I tried to get him out. He just was there all the day.

"You know... I've been thinking," he spoke up as we sat in the library and I snapped out of my thoughts about the dream I had last night.

It was so perfect, a small date on the rooftop of the school. We had sneaked up there and just looked at the stars... and we kissed as if it was the most natural thing ever. Even in my dreams his touches were delicate and gentle.

"You remind me of a piece of chocolate," his voice interrupted my train of thoughts again.

"Eh?" I frowned at him in confusion as he just nodded with wide eyes looking at me, they were so pretty his brown eyes.

"Yeah..." he hummed with a small smile, "chocolate is soft and sweet and it melts on your time... just like your name. Whenever I say your name it seems like it melts on my tongue."

Even though his conclusion sounded weird it was somewhat endearing and sweet. I have never been compared to a square of chocolate before, but now that I was I didn't mind. Maybe I didn't mind because it was Sunoo who had made the comparison. But there was something sweet about the way he had explained it.

Well... I guess I was simply just like a piece of chocolate. Then I sure hope he likes chocolate.

I'm gonna be the snack that smiles back
I'm gonna be the Kit to your Kat

A small smile spread on my face as I stepped into the classroom on the day our project had to be finalized. I knew he wasn't gonna find a need to talk to me after we did our presentation, but I didn't mind. For once I just wanted to be the one that gave him a smile of assurance, even though I probably was the one of us who were the most nervous.

I mean... how could he even be nervous when he's well aware that literally everyone loves him?

"Come, sit," he excitedly pulled the chair out beside him and I hesitated for a bit before just walking over and sending him a small smile as I sat down, "are you ready?"

"I hope so," I murmured as I glanced around the class and quickly got out my notes to read it over.

"Relax, you got this," he assured with a small pat on my back, "and if you mess up... so will I."

"How reassuring," I murmured and he let out a small laugh.

"Noooo. Because you know what? I will purposely mess up to make you less embarrassed," he reminded, "because what is a strawberry without its chocolate?"

"You're a strawberry?" I questioned in amusement and he just happily nodded, "so you're my strawberry?"

"Of course I am!" he beamed, "now chin up, smile and you got this."

I let out a small laugh before doing as he said and he immediately grinned widely.

As the presentations slowly began I could feel my leg begin to bounce up and down as I slowly began fiddling more and more with my hands, only waiting for myself to go up there and embarrass myself.

"Sunoo, will you and your partner get up and do your presentation?" the teacher questioned. She didn't even say my name...

"Of course," Sunoo smiled and softly tapped my shoulder before grabbing my notes for me and walked up before I slowly followed.

Sunoo started off our presentation with ease, how he managed to beam that much while speaking so clever words I would never understand. Whenever I said something to our project Sunoo would just smile widely everytime I glanced at him to get assurance.

Once finished I let out a deep breath and Sunoo quickly bowed down as I did the same, before he quickly began guiding me out of the classroom.

"If you'll excuse us a moment," Sunoo happily spoke as he pushed me out on the hallway and closed the door behind him.

Without even hesitating he turned to me and hugged me tightly. His embrace was calming and warm, everything about him was truly sweet and genuine.

"You did amazing," he happily stated as he pulled away and looked at me.

Cake pop on the tip of my tongue
You belong there like the frosting on a cinnamon bun

"I could just kiss you," he happily beamed before realizing what he said, "I mean..." his smile slowly faltered, "I could only kiss you if you let me."

A small smile spread on my face and a way too big amount of courage took over me all at once before I quickly leaned up and pressed a small kiss to his cheek, that made him turn red as a strawberry within seconds.

"Maybe a date first?" I offered and he immediately grinned widely as his fingers softly grazed his cheek, where I had kissed him.

"Rooftop, tonight... I'll pick you up at seven," he quickly listed and I just nodded with a small laugh.

Because what is a strawberry really without its chocolate?
