You nervously tapped your foot on the floor of the train as Heeseung spared you yet another glance, a small smile growing on his lips before he slid his hand into yours. Giving it a small squeeze.
"Calm down will you?" Heeseung questioned in amusement, snapping your head up to look at him you frowned.
"What if they don't like me?" you whispered quietly and he snickered before leaning back in his seat.
"Well... you see Riah, the thing is," he sighed before turning his head to look at you, "it doesn't really matter what they think, if I love you. Does it?"
The way he so calmly and nonchalantly shrugged it off made you look away immediately to try and hide the way your face was heating up.
Sure Heeseung's parents had invited you along with them and Heeseung's older brother to go on a vacation in Gyeongju. It being the first time you were gonna spend more time with them than just a short visit once in a while, whenever Heeseung brought you along, freaked you out completely. You could only imagine how they were gonna judge their youngest son's partner, and how terribly wrong it could go.
As the train came to a stop in Gyeongju you immediately got out of your seat and watched as Heeseung got out and pulled down both your bags, handing you yours before slipping his hand back into yours and pulling you out of the train along with him.
The train station was a chaos, which only made you tighten your grip on Heeseung's hand, begging for both of you to soon be out of the mess so you could walk your way to the hotel you were staying at with his family. It shouldn't be no longer than 10-20 minutes away from the train station.
To be honest the walk seeme dto last for at least five hours to you, even though Heeseung showed surprise by how fast you two had walked there. It must've been because of your nerves, which he quickly noticed.
"Relax, they already like you," Heeseung assured and pressed a kiss to your temple, while pulling you into a small side hug.
There was glee in Heeseung's mom's voice as she saw the two of you and immediately rushed over to engulf her son, before turning to you with a warm smile. You desperately tried to make your smile seem natural and not as nervous as you felt. Without even hesitating she pulled you in for a hug as well, immediately calming your nerves while Heeseung greeted the rest of his family.
"Did you have a nice trip?" his dad immediately questioned after having greeted you as well.
"A bit long, but we'll survive," Heeseung assured as he slipped his hand back into your again, giving it a small squeeze of reassurance, "I think right now we just gotta get up and pack out a bit."
"Of course," his mom smiled warmly, "we already got you room. Room 202."
"And the card," his brother extended a keycard which Heeseung immediately accepted pulling you along with him.
It was first really when you were up in room 202 that you let out a deep breath, which you seemed to have held most of the time greeting his family.
"I told you they already like you," Heeseung remarked with a small smirk as he walked forward, dropping his bag onto the bed in the room, "you have absolutely nothnig to worry about."
"Yeah..." you let out another deep breath, nodding your head in a way to convince yourself.
Slowly you moved into the room properly and threw your bag on the bed as well, catching Heeseung's eyes. He immediately saw the distanced look in your eyes, only making his smile spread before he wandered over and wrapped his arms loosely around you.
As if by habit you looked up at him, even with a slightly distant mind you managed to do so. Your clueless face brought a little laugh out of your boyfriend, making him just hug you tightly. You were too adorable for him to handle it. It was simply too much for him to look at.
"I love you, and they'll love you too," Heeseung whispered as a reminder, while you just nodded and hugged him back, "this week won't be some nervous wreck for you, you'll have fun, you'll enjoy it, and by the end of the week you're only gonna continue being with me because you like my family so much more than me. Alright?"
"As if that's actually gonna happen," you complained with a small laugh, pulling away slightly and looking up at how his big Bambi eyes sparkled down at you with so much adoration and love that you actually doubted that those emotions was for you, "my boyfriend is the fricking Lee Heeseung himself," you reminded and he let out a shy laugh at you, "I would be an idiot to let him go."
"Hm... well what if you could get the fricking Park Jongseong?" Heeseung questioned and wiggled his eyebrows up and down, "I know how much you like his cooking."
"Yeah but I like you more than Jay's ability to cook," you waved it off, "you can just get cooking classes from him," I reminded and Heeseung let out a small laugh before shaking his head at you in disbelief.
For once you actually believed that this was gonna be a good week, not just for Heeseung but for the both of you.
