Ember’s POV:
I was so close to Zander’s face. I could feel his breath on my face. Minty? I think that’s what it is. I could tell he didn’t want to squish me. CeCe had pushed us down when we were hugging. Now we are in the most awkward position ever. I had landed safely onto the beanbag, but Zander wasn’t so lucky. He almost fell on me. His hands were right next to my ear. Good thing he was strong enough to hold himself up. We stayed like that for at least two minutes gazing into each others eyes. He had such pretty eyes. When he finally got up, I scooted over, so he could sit next to me. I just couldn’t stop looking into his eyes. I couldn’t break away. It felt like I was under a spell. His spell. It didn’t feel like a bad spell. I actually wanted that spell. I never wanted the spell to break.
“Em?” Zander said said softly.
“Yeah?” I asked still looking into his eyes.
“I just wanted to say thank you.” Zander said as he grabbed my hand.
“Zander. Why are you saying thank you? You’re the one that is actually taking the time to help me remember the past.” I said as I scooted closer to him leaning into his chest. I think I am falling for Zander.
“Anytime.” Said Zander as wrapped his arm around me.
Zander’s POV:
I’m starting to think that Em lost her memory for a reason. Everything is falling into place so far. I just really hope she will love me.
Em was snuggled against me. It felt so peaceful. I never wanted to let go.
“Hey, lovebirds. The video’s starting.” Kayla said directing our attention to a projector and making Em and I blush.
“Shh. The video’s starting.” Al said as she waved her hand to “shush” us.
“You guys are going to love this. Hopefully.” CeCe said smiling.
Once the video started, everyone was dead silent. Music started playing. It was an awesome song. “Best Friend - By: Jason Chen.” It described my story so well. Except my stories not finished yet.
Someone once told me that if your love story hasn’t started yet, it doesn’t mean that God forgot about you. It just means that he’s busy writing your love story, and perfecting it to make it special. Wow. I’m so cheesy.
I directed my attention back towards the projector, and a picture came up. It was baby pictures of me, Em, Al, CeCe, and Kayla. That was so embarrassing. I was the only dude out of all the baby pictures. The pictures were definitely all separate, but obviously someone cropped all of the pictures to make it look like we were all together.
Em was cute as a baby, with her chubby cheeks, and that cute little "boyish" sort of look. What an I saying? "Uh. How did you guys get my baby picture? It's really embarrassing..." I said trying to hide my blush.
"CeCe! Pay up! I get 30 bucks! I knew he was going to say that!" Al said happily walking over to CeCe completely forgetting to answer my question.
"Dang. I should've bet on your side." CeCe muttered as she pulled out 30 bucks from her pocket.
"You guys bet on me?" I asked proudly.
"That's not a good thing, idiot." Mumbled Kayla.
"How so? YOU'VE always hated me anyway!" I smirked.
"It doesn't matter, but now that I won my part of the bet, can we please continue the show?" Said Alyssa.
"Fine! Wait. Where's Em?" CeCe said as she frantically jumped up from her seat, and climbed down the tree with me right behind her.
