Why is Love So Blind?

This Is Awkward...

"Lyssa. What did you hear?" I asked once as everyone else went to go get their bowling shoes. Of course we were going bowling. I sucked at it. Everyone knew. I don't know how, but they just knew.

"I didn't hear THAT much. Logan called me in the middle of your little argument. Logan is so sweet." Lyssa said in a daze.

"Yes Lyssa. I already know that Logan is nice. Now back to what you heard." I said anxiously .

"Well, I only heard the part when headed you if you liked the old Zander." She said smiling.

"Were you ladies talking about us?" Zander said as he walked up to us with everyone else trailing behind him.

Not everyone! Just you, you clueless, super hot, six packed boy! I wanted to yell. But I didn't. Instead I just said. "You wish. Cam! Come sit by me!" Yes! Now you won't need to sit next to Zander and be on his team!

"Ok, Em? We already got the teams all picked out, so I'll tell them to you know. Obviously Lyssa and Logan are together, then me and Stella, and you and Zander!" He said smiling.

"Why an I with Zander? I really wanted to be with you!" I said sadly.

"I also wanted to, but Zander and Stella love having competitions with each other. I'm sorry." He said as he pulled me in for a hug.

"So what I'm hearing is that Zander and Stella are more important than me!" I yelled while pulling away from his hug and trying to get Lyssa to help me out. She was no help whatsoever! Of course she was in a corner with Logan about to make out! Gross!!

"No. Baby, it's not like that!" Cam calmly.

"Don't you "baby" me! I'm leaving!" I screamed as I ran outside.

"Em! Wait!" Someone screamed.  

"Cam. I don't want to talk! How could you do this to me!" I yelled.

"I'm not Cam. Do you really hate me that much?" Zander said sadly.

"No, of course not! This is just my first actual date with Cam, and he doesn't want to spend it with me. And you're the one who came after me. Not Cam." I said laughing very softly.

"I could never let you go alone! Just like the back then." Zander said smiling.

Memories of me and Zander kept flooding into my head. Then, I realized that every time I ran away from something, HE was the one that came after me. He was always there for me. "Oh Zander. Thanks for always being there for me." I said smiling as I pulled him in for a hug.

Zander, obviously shocked that I had hugged him, hugged me back slowly. It was just like the time in the tree house.

"Um... Em? Zander?  Cam and Stell are looking for you two." She with Logan right behind her.

"Oh. How was your little make out session?" I said evilishly.

"It was good- wait. How do you know about that?" Lyssa said very embarrassed and blushing like crazy.

"I saw it too. It must've been awkward for you two. Having people watch you as they walked away." Zander said laughing.

"What?!? People were watching us?!?" Lyssa screamed even more embarrassed.

"Hate to break it ya, but I actually didn't see you two making out. I walked outside before you two love birds started kissing." I said shyly.

"Oh! I'm so going to get you Em!" Said Logan as he started running towards me laughing.

"Hey! Stay away from my woman!" Yelled Zander teasingly.

Then we all just stood there. In the silence with a couple crickets.

"Well this is getting too awkward, do we'll just leave so you two can sort this out..." Lyssa said awkwardly as she and Logan went back into the bowling alley.

"So... Zander. How's it going?" I said very very awkwardly.

"Em. Really? Why'd Lyssa and Logan leave after I said that? You're keeping more secrets from me!" Zander said very hurt.

"It's not like I want to! It's just that-" I said softly.

"Just what Em!! Why can't you tell me?!" Zander yelled.

"I just can't!! If you want to know then stop being so clueless!!!!" I retorted.

"You think I'M clueless? I've... I've liked- You know what? Nevermind!" Zander said sadly as he started to walk to his car.

"Zander wait. That's not what I meant!" I screamed.

"Then what did you mean!! I thought you trusted me!!" He screamed even louder.

Dang it. That was loud. Don't cry Em. Don't cry. Great. Now I'm crying. I need to get Lyssa and ba her to take me home. "I'm... I'm going to get Lyssa and go." I choked out as I walked inside of the building to get Lyssa.

"Lyssa. Can. Can you take me home? Anywhere but here. You can bring Logan if you want." I said with tears streaming down my face.

"Ok. Come on, lets go. You need to tell me everything that happened." Lyssa said as she pulled me and Logan into her car.
