“Okay, I have too agree with Lyssa on this one, but it sounds like you guys are dating more than Zander and Stella.” Kayla said suspiciously.

“We are not dating. Speaking of Lyssa where is she?” I said looking around. Just then Lyssa ran around the corner towards us yelling. “Woah, Lyssa! Calm down!” I said trying to calm down Lyssa. “Lyssa. Breathe. Say whatever you were going to say slowly, and calmly.”

“Ok. I heard from one of the cheerleaders that heard from one of the football players that Logan heard from Cam, who heard from Mace, that Zander was going to break up with Stella, because she was rude too his childhood friend! Which is you!” Lyssa yelled excitedly.

“You do know that you could’ve just got too the point, right?” Kayla sad.

“I know! I just wanted there too be more effect!” Lyssa said dramatically. “So? What are you going too do with Zander, now that he’s... free!” Lyssa said seductively.

“Ahhhh!!!!! Gross!!!” Kayla yelled as she ran away.

“You’re so gross Al!” I said laughing.

“And that’s why you love me!” Lyssa said while pulling me into a hug.

“Really Al? I don’t know what too “do with Zander!” I said as I pushed her away.

“Who’s the gross one now?” Lyssa said laughing.

“Shut up Al.” I said smiling. “Plus, you don’t even know if it’s true. It’s just a rumor.” I said flatly.

“I’ll guess you’ll find out tonight!” Lyssa said smiling widely.

“Wow. We’re not going to do anything!” I said.

“That’s what you think. First, you’ll be laughing and talking. Then, before you know it, you’re both in love! And possibly kissing.” Lyssa said while making a heart with her hands.

“Ok? You’re so weird!” I said.

“Of course I am!” Lyssa said smiling.

“Ok. I’m going to go get us some food. You can wait in the treehouse.” I said to Zander as I walked away.

“Zander? Hello? Are you up here?” I asked . Where was he?

“Boo!!!” yelled Zander from behind the door.

Before I could think about it, I kicked my leg up, and it hit Zander in the chest. “Oh my gosh!! Zander! I’m so sorry!! I guess it was just a reflex...” I said as I kneeled on the ground next to him.

“Wow! You still taking karate?” Zander said as he rubbed his chest.

“No... I stopped a while ago...” I said very embarrassed.

“Oh... You’re so strong! Can you go get me an ice pack?” He said, still rubbing his chest.

“Sure. I’ll be right back!” I yelled as I climbed down the tree, and ran inside.

“Oh my gosh Zander!! Put your shirt back on! I didn’t kick you that hard!” I said while shielding my eyes.

“What? I thought I was bleeding!” Zander said innocently.

“How am I supposed too help you if you don’t have a shirt on? We took karate together Zander. How did that even hurt you?” I asked suspiciously.

“Well, I’m not good at surprise attacks?” Zander said.

“Wow Zander. Why’d you fake getting hurt?” I asked as I sat down next to him and put the ice pack on the spot where I kicked him.

“I guess I wanted to... show of my awesome abs!!” Zander said as he started to stand up.

“Zander. You’re gross.” I said pulling him back onto the ground.

“Ya... I’m gross.” He said sarcastically.

“Wow. I have a question, but you need to answer me truthfully, okay?” I said.

“Ok. I’ll try.” Zander said seriously.

“Did you really break up with Stella?” I asked.

“Yes. I did.” Zander said.

“Ok, and why did you break up with her?” I asked a little scared.

“Well, I realized that I liked someone else. Someone that meant much more to me than Stella ever did.” Zander said smiling. “Do you know who that girl is?” Zander said looking straight into my eyes.

“I’m sure she’s someone really special.” I said smiling back at Zander.

“She’s more than special. She’s my world.” Zander said as he pulled me into a hug.

“Zander. Thanks for being there for me whenever I need you.” I said while hugging him back.

“I’ll always be there.” He said as he lifted my chin up to face him.

We slowly inched closer and closer when I heard someone screaming. When we were just one inch apart, we both stopped. I quickly got up, and brushed myself off. “I should probably go see what that was.” I said shyly.

“Em. Wait.” Zander said as he grabbed my hand, and pulled me towards him. Then, he did something that surprised me. He kissed me. Our lips touched, and I didn’t know what to do. I felt sparks flying. It was something I never wanted to end. I didn’t want too be the first one too break away. We just stood there with our lips locked, when Zander finally broke away. “I just had to do that. At least once.” He said still holding my hand.

Then, without saying a word, I left.
