Why is Love So Blind?

What now?

I'm so so so sorry for not updating in FOREVER! But, I'm back! I hope you all like this new chapter!

Zander's POV:

 Yup. I kissed her. Right after confessing to her. Gosh. She probably hates me now. Wait... I’m still kissing her. (Cue the facepalm.)

Sparks. That’s what it feels like right now. If I didn’t know myself, I would think that I was a girl right now. Wow. Ok. I don’t even know what to do. Play by play right now. I’m going to pull away. Don’t get mad, Em. Like she would get mad. I looked down at Em to see her smiling up at me.

"Uh... Sorry about that! I promise I'll never do that again! Crap..." I said as quickly as I could.

"What are you sorry about? I never said I didn't like it..."

Wait, what? She... liked it?

"Ya, I guess you could say that I enjoyed it..." Ember said as she looked away avoiding my eyes.

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Um.... yes. Yes you did."

"So... um..." I started to say but got cut off from Ember's lips colliding with mine.

What? Dang. I could do this forever....

"And that's my cue to stop!" Ember said as she pulled away from me.

"Oops... why do I keep saying things out loud today..." I said as I scratched the back of my head nervously.

Em shook her head. “I don’t know. You tell me. You’re so weird, Zander.”

“That’s why you love me, right?” I hadn’t even realized what I said until Ember took my hand and looked into my eyes.

“Wh.. What?”

“Um… You tell me.” I didn’t know what I was feeling right now. My heart was beating so fast I was sure that Em could hear it.

“What do you want me to tell you?” She whispered.

I stuttered. “I.. I don’t know.”

“Yes you do.” She leaned in closer.

“Do…. Do you… Do you love me?” I whispered.

“Yes.”

My face immediately broke out into the biggest smile ever. I couldn’t believe it. The girl of my dreams was actually in love with me.  “Will you pinch me so I know that this isn’t a dream?”

“Zander, this isn’t a dream. But since you asked.” Her fingers went up to my cheek in a gentle manner when she closed them around my cheek and pinched as hard as she could.

“Ow! What the heck, Ember?”

“You literally just asked me to do that.”

“Oh yeah. So, that means that this is real?”

Ember smiled. “Of course.”

“So, what now?” I asked as casually as possible.

“I love you, Zander.” She blurted.

I smiled. “Say it again.”

“I love you.”

“Again.”

“I love you, I love you, I love you. Is that enough times for you?”

“Not quite.” I smirked.

“Wow. I’m not going to say it anymore until you say it to me.” She crossed her arms.

“Say what?”

“I love you. Wait, ugh!”

“I can’t believe you fell for that!” I burst out laughing.

She pouted. “You’re such a jerk.”

“Aw, I’m sorry, Em. If it helps, I love you too.” I smiled.

Her lips slowly curved up into a breathtaking smile. “Good.”

“So, now what? What are we?”

“I don’t know. It’s up to you.” She said shyly.

“What about Everett?”

“What about him?”

I smiled.” Nothing. Nothing at all.”

Ember’s smile dropped. “Actually, I need to talk to him.”

“Wait, what? Why are you going to talk to him after everything that just happened?” I was so confused.

“Don’t worry, Zander. It’s not what you think. I just need to tell him that I don’t like him because I love you.” She smiled at me.

“Oh good! I’ll be here then!”

“Um, can you come with me? I think I’ll be needing moral support.” She said shyly.

I wrapped my arm around her waist. “Of course I will. Now what are we waiting for?”

“Nothing. Let’s go.”

I'm sorry this is such a super duper short chapter, but I been super busy, so I'm just trying to get back on schedule.
