Luke's POV.

I step into the flower shop and the beautiful smell of flowers hits me. I look around for the perfect flower and see roses, daisies, sunflowers... other weird ones that I don't know. I don't even remember what Calum's favourite colour is. Did he even tell me? I settle on tulips and take the colourful bunch. I set it on the counter and get my wallet out.

"That is one lucky girl." The woman says. I hope she isn't trying to hit on me, she's like 50. I also hate how she just assumed it was a girl.

"Guy." I corrected and her eyes widened before softening.

"Oh I am really sorry. I shouldn't guess like that." She says awkwardly and hands me the change. I thank her and leave the store.

I walk to the hospital while arranging the flowers so that they're rainbow. As I walk in people are in his room and I walk up to a nurse waiting outside.

"What's going on?" I ask hiding the flowers behind my back.

"You'll have to wait a while. He tried to wake up too hard again." She sighs and I feel a lump rise to my throat.

I walk over to the waiting seats and text Mali. She must be busy because she isn't answering. I almost stomp angrily on the flowers but no because I spent thirty bucks on them and also because when I can see Calum again. A few hours pass and I'm on my phone texting Michael and helping him with his geography homework.

Suddenly, a nurse runs out.

"You're Luke Hemmings am I correct?" She asks and I nod she smiles and asks me to follow her into the room.

I put the flowers next to the radio Mali got him.

"Take his hand." She says and I am confused.

I put my hand in his and of course he doesn't respond. I look back up at her.

"Why do I--" I am stopped when a my hand is squeezed lightly.

I snap my head towards my hand and see Calum holding my hand properly. I am filled with joy and happiness.

"He's recovering." The nurse says still smiling and my breath gets harder. No, don't cry Luke. "So far, it's only his hand. It may take a few more weeks or so before he can maybe wiggle his toes but... for now, it's just his hand." She says.

"Thank you. Thank you so much. This may seem normal to you but it's changed my and his life." I say to the nurse.

"This doesn't happen on a daily basis you know. It happens probably once every half a year. Well, for me at least. I think it's beautiful." She chuckles.

"It must be. This has never happened to me before." I say and Calum plays with my fingers and I look over at him. "Yes Calum. You're moving." I say bringing my hand up to his cheek.

The nurse soon leaves so that we can talk. I miss his voice so much. I end up sitting on a chair next to Calum and holding his hand for three more hours. I played with his fingers as he played with mine. I turn his music back on and squeeze his hand and he squeezes it back. It's sad that I can't see his smile. I tell him about what Leo did and how I don't have a lip ring right now even if he can't see and he squeezes my hand.

"Leo's done so fucking much to us. He's torn us apart this much. He wants us to be so far apart that he put you in a coma. Isn't this ridiculous?" I say and he squeezes my hand a little and I sigh. "I guess this is the only way to communicate now, huh?" I say and he gives me a thumbs up.

I tell him that I got him flowers and he moves his fingers around, trying to make a heart.

"I love you too Calum." I laugh and the door opens and Mali suddenly comes in.

"What's going on?" She asks and Calum's hand goes limp. I'm guessing we're playing that joke on her as well.

"Take his hand." I say and Mali raises a brow. She takes my spot and holds his hand.

She stares at me in confusion.

"What-- WHAT THE FUCK?!" She screams and his hand has clamped around here.

"Holy... Calum?" She cries and he holds her hand like he doesn't want to let go. Was this what I looked like?

After she spoke to him a little I decided to leave. I don't want to always be there while Mali's
