Luke's POV.
I didn't even want to look at the blade knowing that it hurt Calum. I quickly put the towel back and shut the drawer. I switched the lights off and quietly tip toed over to Calum. He hugged himself and it looked like he was cold and sad. I laid back down next to him and I pulled him close and rested my head on top of his and sighed.
This isn't what cute couples are supposed to be like. But, at least I had a relationship with someone that accepted me. I've never dated anyone, let alone kiss anyone so I knew I was probably really bad to Calum. He had experience with Leo. I remembered about that question that wouldn't leave me.
What happened between Leo and Calum? I know they dated, but what did Calum do to cause Leo to hate him so much? Or... what did Leo do? These questions were keeping me wide awake. Calum's body soon squirmed a little. He suddenly sat up, panting causing me to sit up with him.
"Luke! L-Luke!" He called out.
"Sh, it's okay Calum, I'm here, it's okay, it was just a dream." I said rubbing his back.
He began to sob and I hugged him tightly. He cried into my shoulder and it almost made me want to cry.
"What was your dream about?" I asked.
"I was in a dark room and you were there and you were crying. I asked you what was wrong and you said it was all my fault. Of course I tried asking you what happened and you just kept shouting that it was my fault and that you didn't deserve someone as stupid as me. You then walked away and Leo was suddenly there and he took your had and you guys just walked away." He said sniffling.
"I called your name over and over again but you just continued to walk away. Then, I was suddenly at the hallway of the school and everyone was calling me names and pointing out all my flaws and even you did. I kept telling you to stay away from Leo and you kept saying 'The Asian is talking' and I kept shouting your name and I woke up." He said before breaking into a sob.
"Come on Calum, you know I-" I was about to say I love you but we aren't even dating yet.
"You know I would never do that." I said and Calum sighed and nodded.
I put the blanket back over us and cuddled up against him again. I wrapped my whole arm around him and put my chin on his head. I hoped this would make him feel at least a little bit safer. Soon, I fell into a deep sleep.
**
Luke's POV.
I woke up to feel Calum still in my grip. He wasn't breathing heavily, which was weird because that's what he does when he's fallen asleep. So... that meant Calum was awake.
"Did you not sleep Calum?" I asked, my morning voice ruining my actual voice.
"No." He replied simply.
He spun around and faced me. He looked okay, he wasn't crying or anything, he just looked a little tired.
"I was scared." He said quietly.
I ran my fingers through his hair before looking at the clock behind him to see it was 11.35am.
"I have to go to therapy in an hour and a half." He sighed.
"I wish I could come with you." I said kissing his forehead.
Calum moved his head up instead making me kiss his lips instead of his forehead. We both had morning breath which I didn't know if Calum cared about but I didn't. He kissed me longingly, like he needed it so nevermind, I don't think he cared.
I let go and put my nose on his. I felt a strange feeling bubbling up inside me which I'm guessing was lust. I smiled at Calum before kissing him again, this time a little harder. I flipped us over so that I was on top and out lips began to move in sync. His hands tangled in my hair and one arm kept me up and the other roamed his body. My lips traveled down his jawline and down to his neck making him moan quietly.
Yet of course, we were interrupted by a knock on the door. Calum's mom was calling us for breakfast. I was disappointed as hell, Calum looked pretty annoyed as well. Her footsteps retreated from the door. I sighed and got up to have Calum push me up against the wall. His lips went to my neck and he kissed it lightly.
"Calum, we need to eat." I said.
"I didn't get to finish what we started." He said.
Oh? I see, Calum was turned on. I didn't know how but he was. His lips went up my jaw to my lips. We were soon at a full on make out session. His mom banged on the door once again and Calum finally sighed in frustration and let go. We fixed our hair and walked downstairs to see Mali Koa writing stuff down on a notebook and Calum's mom preparing some food.
Calum and I are quickly since we agreed to go out to the park today. We ran back upstairs and quickly got ready before heading out. It was and awkward silence.
I didn't want it to be awkward, so I took his hand in mine. Calum stared at our hands and then at me and he smiled. We were finally at the park and I ran to the swing and sat down.
"Want me to push you?" Calum asked and I nodded quickly.
I soon felt two strong hands on my back push me and I swung up in the air. This went on for a while. Now this was what happy couples were meant to be like; laughing, hanging out, being happy.
"Hey!" we heard.
It sounded like a girl. I stopped the swing and both Calum and I spun around to see a group of twelve year olds. They were all dressed in leather jackets, their hair was gelled up and they had sunglasses on.
"Who? Us?" Calum asked pointing to himself.
"Yes you, you dumb shit." He said and Calum sarcastically put his hands up in defense.
"What the hell are you fags doing? Pushing each other and shit." He said.
I felt a pain shoot through my heart.
"Well, baby sir," I said moving Calum out of the way.
Calum knew I was going to do something evil.
"It's called homosexual. Most people respect homosexuals. If you don't respect them, nobody respects you." I said crossing my arms.
"First of all, you ain't my dad. Secondly, you're gay?" he asked.
"Yeah, never heard of the word gay before? It means when--"
"Yes, I know what it means!"
"--a man and another man are attracted to each other when you decide to go along with your friends insulting every person ever, don't ever call homosexuals fags, homophobe." I spat.
His eyes widened.
"Yeah, whatever, you got any change?" he asked.
"No, now go back to your mom." I said and walked off.
Calum followed closely behind.
"Damn son, where'd you learn to sass like Michael?" Calum asked.
"It's a talent." I laughed and Calum seemed to realize something before laughing along.
