Overworked Part 1-Fluff🌸

Ok so once again I'm in class writing this Because cosmo class is the perfect time to write am I right? 😃Anyways, this is a suggestion by ladyredriot so I hope you enjoy!!

Joe's POV

3 days. Kaoru has been locked in the guest room for three days. He got an order for a very important business man's daughter's wedding and he had to make sure the banner turned out perfect. But three days?? I get that he really values his work, but you need a break every now and then.

How it worked is I bring food to the door for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He'd kiss me, take the food, and disappear back into the room. He didn't come out for anything else seeing as there was a bathroom and everything he needed there. The first night I wasn't worried about him not sleeping, I thought he would have allowed himself to sleep for at least 6 hours, but when I brought him food the next morning he had bags under his eyes, that progressively got darker the last two mornings.

I hadn't really talked to him besides the tiny bit of chit chat when I brought him food or forced him to drink a glass of water in front of me, so basically I had no idea when he'd be done. Today though, he's coming out of that room and taking a break. I walked up to the door and knocked softly to not startle him too much. "Baby?" "Yes?" I heard him reply. "When will you be done?" "I should be done by 5 hun." 5? That leaves me 6 hours to get something ready for him. "Alright, I'll leave you be then" "Love you, thank you Kojiro" "Love you too."

I walked away from the room, already planning what'd I'd do for him after he's done working. I then got an amazing idea. I pulled out my phone and created a group chat with Miya, Reki, Langa, and Shadow.

Joe-Guys I need your help with something

Miya-What is it dad?😏

Reki-Miya 🙄

Reki-What do ya need help with?

Langa-Hmm?

Joe-Kaoru has been locked in the guest room all weekend working. He'll be done by 5 and I wanted to do something to help him relax but I'll need your guys help.

Shadow-I can help picking things up from the store if you need, but I start work at 3

Langa-Yeah

Miya-Me too!!! Anything for mom😫❤️

Joe-Great. Thanks guys, can you meet me at my house in an hour?

Perfect. Time to start planning. I went to the office and grabbed a notepad and paper and got to work. I decided that we'd do a "spa" type thing, along with a buffet, and a "movie theater," since the kids are helping, I'll let the stay and eat too. After writing a list of things I'd need to get at the store I went to get ready to go out.

I had gotten ready and was making sure I had my wallet when I realized it was lunch time. I went to the kitchen and warmed up leftovers for last night, throwing some snacks on the side of the plate and getting a bottle of water. I brought the food to the guest room, once again knocking on the door lightly. The door opened, and a sleepy looking Kaoru emerged. "Hi hunny" I said, kissing his cheek. "Mmm, Hi babe" He laid his head on my chest, almost knocking over the food.

"Did you sleep last night?" "4 hours" "Cherry that's not enough" "Yeah, yeah, I know." I looked him in the eyes, bringing our lips together. The kiss lasted a couple seconds before Kaoru pulled away and yawned. I laughed lightly at him, pulling the bangs from his eyes. "Here, go eat this, I have to go out for a little bit, ok?" "Ok. At least be back before 5 please" "I will don't worry baby" We kissed once more and I handed him the plate and water. We smiled at each other and I closed the door for him.
