Strawberry Shortcake-Fluff🌸

Hey guysssss. I know I've been pretty bad at uploading lately so I wrote a long chapter for ya'll today!! I just haven't really had any motivation to write, but I plan on writing as many as possible everyday(so I have a bunch made) so you guys will get one everyday.

Kaoru's POV

I stretched and yawned after getting up off the couch, checking the time on my phone. It was a Saturday and my parents weren't home, so I was pretty bored. Though I was looking forward to Kojiro coming over, he had to work until 5....it's only 1. "What the hell do I do?" I asked myself, falling back on the couch. I know we're about to finish high school, and that's why Kojiro's been working so much, but he hasn't really had a break in a few weeks. It's always work, work, work, and talk to me when he has a few spare minutes here and there. I sighed, sitting up. I looked around, noticing it was a bit messy in here. 'I guess I could clean,' I thought, turning on some music as I began cleaning up my living room. Once I had finished that, I moved onto the different rooms of my house, making sure everything was in its proper place, washed, and dried, and just overall clean.

"Ugh" I complained as I leaned against the kitchen counter. I still had an hour and a half until Kojiro would come over, leaving empty space that I needed to fill with something. "I know' I said out loud, "I'll go buy some snacks." I stood back up and headed to the door, putting my shoes on, grabbing a jacket and my board and then leaving. I threw my board down and hopped on, kinda wishing I had brought the thicker jacket cause the fall air was cold today. Once I got closer to the shops, I hopped off and walked the rest of the way, not wanting to be lectured by a Karen today. As I walked past a shop I got a whiff of an amazing smell. I walked in and began looking around, noting that all the cakes and desserts looked wonderful. "Hey Kaoru, what can I get for you today kid?" The shop owner said as he noticed me walking around. "Two pieces of strawberry shortcake please" I said, smiling. He nodded and went on to cut and package two pieces, before putting them on the counter next to the register. "Guessin it's for you and that boy of yours?" He asked with a smug smirk on his face. I playfully rolled my eyes, "Yeah yeah, it is" I said, "I'll just charge ya for one today" He answered, handing me the bag. I smiled, "Thank you" He said his goodbyes, and I left the store.

When I got home I put the cake into the fridge, before sitting down on the couch. 'I'll just nap for a minute,' I thought, closing my eyes.

Kojiro's POV

'Shit, shit, I'm gonna be late' I thought, running down the sidewalk. I had decided to stop and buy Kaoru something, and that I wanted to change before going over to Kaoru's place because I didn't want to smell like crap, but I hadn't realized how late I'd be. I mean, it's not like we live on opposite sides of the town, we actually only live down the road from each other, but I was already 20 minutes late. "Hi mom, bye mom" I said as I threw my backpack on the couch and ran up the stairs. I changed and flew back down the stairs at lighting speed, grabbing the bag of gifts as I ran out the door and down the steps.

"Kaoru, I'm here" I said as I took off my shoes, but I got no answer. "Look, I'm sorry" I said, walking into the living room only to find him asleep on the couch. I sighed, knowing it was probably my fault he fell asleep. "Sorry" I whispered as I kissed his forehead and picked him up gently. "Mmm, Ko?" He asked, opening his eyes. One of his arms snaked around my neck, and the other blocked his eyes from the light. "Hey babe" I said, kissing his cheek. "Hey, put me down" He said, trying to wiggle his way out of my arms. I set him down gently, laughing a bit. "I'm sorry I was late" I mumbled, once again embarrassed that I had been 30 minutes late when he had been looking so forward to it. "Oh Kojiro" He said, wrapping both arms around my neck, "I don't mind, plus I fell asleep like an hour ago" He said, giggling. I sighed in relief, knowing that I hadn't been the reason for him falling asleep. "What do ya wanna do?" He asked, holding my hand now. "Something where I can sit. My everything hurts" I whined. "Come on, you big baby" He said, dragging me to his bedroom. I sat down on his bed, and flopped out. "Kojirooooo, move your fat ass out of my way" He whined, "well this fat ass is yours" I said, slapping my ass as I stood up. "You're a moron" He said, as I sat down beside him.

"But you love me" I said back, wrapping both my arms around his waist and burying my face into his chest. "You're a big baby" He said, running his fingers through my hair. "Wanna sleepover tonight?" He asked as I slowly began drifting off. I hummed in response and he brushed the hair out of my face before kissing my forehead. "You take a nap and I'll wake you when food gets here" I heard him say before falling fully asleep.

Kaoru's POV

As soon as Kojiro was out cold I shimmied my way out of his arms and headed downstairs. "Hi, I'd like to place an order," I said, on the phone with a pizza place. Since my parents weren't gonna be home for the weekend I only needed to get enough for the two of us. "Yes, just one large cheese," I said again. "Thanks" Once I had placed the order I began putting the candy and snacks I had bought into little dishes and brought them quietly into my room. After setting them down on my desk, I walked over to Kojiro and put a blanket over him. Once the bell rang I ran down and grabbed it. "Kaoru?" A sleepy Kojiro asked from the top of the stairs asked. "I'm coming baby, go sit on the bed" I said as I began walking over.

"Here ya go" I said, handing him a plate of pizza. "Thanks" He said, still kinda asleep. I giggled and kissed his cheek. "Kojiro," I said, staring at him. He turned to me, with pizza sauce beside his mouth. "God I love you" I mumbled as I gently wiped his face with a napkin. His face went red and he turned away. "Kaoru eat something" He mumbled. He had this thing that anytime he was eating or there was food around he had to see me eat something to know I wasn't starving myself. I smiled, knowing I was incredibly lucky for having someone who cares so much. "I'm so in love with you" I sighed, before taking a bite of pizza. "Well luckily for you, I'm in love with you too" He said, smiling. "How was your nap?" I asked, leaning against his shoulder. "Good. Though it didn't feel as great as it could have" "What why not?" I asked, sitting back up and looking in the face. "I didn't have you to hold"

My face flushed red, "D-don't be stupid" I mumbled, filling my mouth with pizza again. "But Kaoru, I wanna be able to wake up every day with you in my arms" He said, grinning at me. "Shut it" I said, standing up. "Where are you going?" He asked, getting up after me. "I've got something for you, wait here." "Wait, I also got you something" We both ran down the stairs, me going to the kitchen and him to the doorway. "Meet you upstairs" He called, running back upstairs before I took the cake out of the fridge. I climbed the stairs again, "Close your eyes" I called from the hall, "Ok." When I walked into my bedroom, his eyes were screwed shut. I smiled and set the cake down in front of him, "Ok open" He opened his eyes and looked down, an instant smile spreading across his face. "It's your favorite," I said, proudly. "You're my favorite." I giggle and hand him a fork.

"Ok. time for your present" Kojiro said once we had both finished our cake. "You didn't need to get me a present." I said, smiling. "Yeah, but I haven't been hanging out much, with good reason though. I won't have to pull anymore extra shifts." I raised an eyebrow, "Just open it" He said, handing me a cute box. I opened it to find a new hoodie, a bracelet, some candy, some fake roses, and an envelope. "Open it" He said, sounding like a little kid on Christmas. I giggled and opened it. "W-what" I said as I dropped it onto the bed. "Surprise! Do you like it?" "You can't be serious, Kojiro that's gonna cost a fortune." I said. He grabbed onto my hand, "Kaoru, baby, I've already bought our tickets, the trip is in the summer." I didn't know how to answer, so I leaned in and kissed him. "I've always wanted to go to LA" I muttered against his lips, "I know."

"You're really the best," I said, climbing into bed next to Kojiro. He smiled and patted his chest lightly. I laid my head in between his shoulder and chest, as an arm wrapped around my shoulders. "I love you Kaoru~" He whispered. I smiled, knowing once again I was incredibly lucky, "I'm so glad it ended up like this" Kojiro whispered again. "Me too," I said, kissing his cheek. "Ugh I'm tired" Kojiro said, sighing dramatically. "Let's go to sleep then" I said back. "Oh here" Ko said, picking up his phone, "The song I made for you." I giggled, knowing the song was more of a lullaby, but it had really helped me sleep since the Adam thing happened. "Thank you" I whispered Kojiro kissed my head and then began humming the song, turning off the lamp, but leaving on my fairy lights. "Goodnight love" He whispered, and then continued humming the song as I listened and fell asleep.
