Kojiro's POV

"Come on Kaoru, I set everything up" I said leading my boyfriend up the stairs. We hadn't had many sleepover lately so I set up one for us tonight with snacks and video games, the whole thing. "Ok ok I'm coming you weirdo." Kaoru laughed as I dragged him up the stairs. We burst through my bedroom door as I showed off my nicely cleaned and set up room. I had laid a bunch of pillows and blankets on the floor in front of my little tv, along with a bunch of different snacks an drinks. We sat down and Kaoru leaned over and kissed my cheek, "Thank you Kojiro" He said smirking. "D-don't smirk like that" I mumbled, looking away with my face red. He giggled and picked up a controller, "I bet I can beat you in Mario cart" Kaoru said, smirking evilly this time. I smirked back, "Oh you're on" I said as I also picked up a controller.

After about an hour my mom called us down for dinner, then we ate and sat in the living room to watch a movie with my parents and siblings. Kaoru had begun falling asleep so I gently shook his shoulder, "What time is it?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. "Around 10:30" I said, helping him get up. We went back upstairs and got changed into our pajamas before I got into my bed and Kaoru slept on the futon on the ground. "Good night Kaoru" I said, looking at him lovingly over the edge of the bed. "Goodnight stupid gorilla" he said smiling at me. "I love you" He whispered, falling asleep. I whispered it back and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep not too long after.

I woke up to the wind blowing hard outside, and the rain pouring down. I rubbed my eyes and picked up my phone, noting it was 1 in the morning. I tried to fall back asleep but with no luck so I started playing some games on my phone quietly while Kaoru slept. Thunder struck out and made me jump a little out of surprise, and the rain started to come down a little more. After two more thunder rumbles Kaoru shot up just in time to hear yet another one. He yelped and hit his head off the side of my bed, curling into a ball. "Kaoru are you ok?" I asked, leaning over and putting my hand on his head. As thunder struck again he grabbed my wrist and pulled on it, accidentally pulling me off the edge of the bed. I fell on top of him and apologized for crushing him as I sat back up.

"Kaoru whats wrong?" I asked as he started sobbing. He opened his eyes and looked at me before jumping from the thunder again. "P-please don't m-make fun of m-me" He mumbled, attempting to wipe his eyes but the tears just kept coming. "I won't Kaoru. It's ok don't cry" I said, rubbing his shoulder. I didn't know Kaoru was scared of thunder, and I wasn't exactly sure how to help. I couldn't keep watching him cry so I gently pulled him by the shoulders and hugged him to my chest. I played with his hair as his gripped tightened every time thunder struck. "Kaoru, calm down." I whispered, laying down with him still in my arms. I peeled his face away from my chest and looked him in the eyes, "Hey, breath baby" I whispered, kissing his forehead. I rubbed his back and eventually his breathing calmed and he was playing with the edge of my shirt. "Thank you" He whispered quietly as his eyes fell shut. I smiled and kissed his forehead before shutting my own eyes and finally falling asleep again.
