Kaoru's POV

It was nine pm and I was walking home from a calligraphy class I was taking. I pulled out my phone and text Kojiro, asking what he was doing. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go to his house for the night or my own. I heard someone whistle behind me and paid no attention to it, thinking it was probably some old guy calling to a woman walking on the opposite side of the street. "Hey pretty!" I heard someone yell behind me and footsteps running up. I kept my finger on the side button of my phone in case I needed to spam press it to call my emergency contact, and walked a little faster. The footsteps behind me got louder and faster until I most certainly knew they were coming for me. I spammed the button and went to start running, but before I could there was a hand on each of my shoulders.

"Don't touch me" I yelled, turning around to see four adult men. "I was right, you are a pretty one" The one man said, the alcohol on his breath smelling awful. I went to walk away but another man grabbed my arm and pinned me against the wall. "I think this one's mine tonight" He said, a horrible grin spread across his face. I tried to kick him but he dodged and smirked. Another man behind him pushed him, "There's no way in hell you get this one" I felt horrified. They were fighting over which one of them would get to sleep with me. The man who hadn't spoken yet spoke up suddenly, "I have $400 here, that you can have if you'll accompany me to the place down the street" He said, suggesting the love hotel. "Fat chance" I said, kicking him in the balls.

Kojiro's POV

I was finishing homework while listening to music when the song became slightly more quiet before retaining its volume. I ignored it for like 5 minutes before picking up my phone to check who had messaged me. I had 2 missed texts from Kaoru so I opened them. The first one read "Whatcha doin?" and the second one said "SOS" I shot up, grabbed my sweater and put it one with the pocket knife in my pocket and ran down the stairs. I followed google maps to where they said Kaoru was last seen and heard some yelling around the corner. I could see what looked like 3 or 4 men around a wall, and got a bad feeling right away. Suddenly one of the guys fell to the ground and revealed Kaoru, who was being held against a wall by his wrists. "Let him go,'' I yelled, pushing one of the guys, who easily fell over. I could smell loads of different alcohols on them and knew I needed to get Kaoru out of here. I kicked the guy holding Kaoru in the balls which made him let go of one arm, and pushed him as hard as I could which made him let go fully. "Run!" I yelled at Kaoru who took off towards my house.

I started running behind him, just slower incase any of the men decided to follow us. When I could tell they weren't following, I picked up my speed and caught up to Kaoru. We ran straight to my house and didn't stop until we got to my front door. Once we were inside we looked at each other and stayed silent, until Kaoru burst out laughing. For some reason I felt like laughing too, so I did. We laughed for a bit and then made our way upstairs to my room. Kaoru got changed into my pajamas and laid in my bed, while I grabbed snacks and drinks and brought them up. We got settled in bed and began scrolling through movies, still not talking about what had happened not even an hour again. "I might cut my hair," Kaoru said out of nowhere. "What?" I asked, turning to face him. "I think I'm gonna cut it" he mumbled, looking down at his hands in his lap. "Why babe?" I asked, knowing he loved his hair. I watched a tear fall down his cheek, "Things like this happen to me because of it."

"Oh baby" I said, pulling him into my chest. "I know it sucks, but things like this are going to happen no matter what your hair looks like, so don't let them take away something you love so much." He started crying a bit, so I used my finger tips to wipe them away. "I know it's not fair Kaoru, no one should have to go through this. But you've worked so hard to grow out your hair, and I love your hair so please don't let them take that away." He nodded and grabbed my hand, squeezing it a little bit. "I love you" I said, knowing it was the first time I'd said it. His cheeks went pink and he looked to the side, "I love you too stupid gorilla" I smiled goofily, from ear to ear, and wrapped my arms around his waist. I pulled him onto my lap and kissed him deeply. When we pulled away we were both smiling stupidly. Kaoru turned around in my lap and laid his back against my chest. We laid in bed and watched a movie until Kaoru was asleep, so I moved him gently beside me and covered him in blankets. Then I turned off the tv and wrapped my arms around him and fell asleep too.

Bonus:

I woke up at around 7am, with Kaoru still fast asleep beside me. I got up, deciding to make breakfast for Kaoru. I found my mom just waking up in the living room with a coffee and let her know that I would make breakfast for Kaoru and I. I spent the next 45 minutes making waffles, bacon and eggs, and made Kaoru a yogurt parfait bowl to go with his as well. I got orange juice in two cups and brought all of the food upstairs on a tray. When I walked back into my room Kaoru was still asleep, so I set the tray down on my desk and slid back into bed beside him. I gently moved the hair from his face and whispered his name a few times before he started to stir. "Hi my angel" I said, smiling at him. He sleepily rubbed his eyes and smiled, "Good morning" He mumbled, wrapping his arms around me and rubbing his face against my shirt. I smiled and offered him the food, which he gladly took and began eating. I ate too, and we talked and laughed about anything under the sun for the rest of the morning.
