Hi guys!!!! I know it's been a week since I uploaded last....but I haven't had the energy to write, plus I got a small cold like 5 days ago that's gone now!😫😫

Anyways. I was reading stories earlier and read an asanoya one, so I decided that I was gonna make one kind of like it.

Kaoru's POV

"Kaoru!!" I turned my head away from my phone to see Kojiro running towards me. He wasn't at our meeting spot this morning so I had gone on without him, but still waited outside the school. I smiled before looking away quickly, feeling the butterflies in my chest run wild. He stopped beside me, leaning down to catch his breath. He looked up, shooting a toothy grin at me. "Sorry for not showing up. I forgot to set an alarm" He said, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's fine," I said, turning to walk towards the door. "Hey, wait for meee." He said, whining the last bit. I giggled a little, thinking that he was being cute. 'Stop it. You know he's straight' A voice in my head said, making the smile on my face disappear.

I knew that I had fallen in love with him. I've known that since our first year of high school. But in the end, nothing was ever going to happen. I tried telling my parents that I felt an attraction towards guys, but she just acts like she never heard anything. Dad...well was dad. I don't think he was actually against it, but like usual, he agreed with mom so no fights would start between them. Sometimes I wished that I could just run away.......run away and be able to be with him. But then there's also the way he feels. Kojiro is popular with the girls. Everyone wanted to be with him, everyone including me. Sometimes things would happen that made me think that just maybe I'd get a chance, but then he'd talk about some girl.

"Kaoru?" I heard him say with actual concern in his voice. "Sorry" I mumbled. "Is something wrong?" "Of course not! You know that I never have problems" I said, chuckling. I saw him frown slightly before laughing a bit himself. "Well I gotta go to class, meet me here for our next class?" I asked, stopping outside my classroom. I had dreams many times before about him leaning over and kissing my cheek before I waved and walked into class...but those are just dreams. "Sure!" He smiled brightly, causing my face to heat up. I nodded, giving him a slight wave before walking into the room.

Kojiro's POV

As soon as he walked into his class I felt my face heat up. 'Great' I thought, walking down the hall. 'Another missed opportunity.' I had been trying forever to make a move on Kaoru, but anything I tried was too subtle for him to notice. 'Unless he does notice and just ignores it' I thought, feeling slightly defeated. I knew that unless I did something that made it obvious I was madly in love with the pink haired boy, nothing would ever happen, and instead....I'd watch him fall in love with some girl who probably would never be able to feel the same way about him as I do. At the end of the day, I knew that even if I did make a move, I would end my childhood friendship. I've heard stories his mom tells him about how she's seen gay couples in public and talks about how disgusting they are, and then he nods in agreement.

At this point I was outside my classroom, so I went in and took my seat. A guy walked in after I sat down, and bumped into me as he passed. "Fucking fat ass" I heard him whisper, but wasn't much of a whisper as I heard people from all around snicker. The pit in my stomach that had formed from overthinking grew bigger. I put on a fake smile as I pulled out my things for class.

I looked up to the clock to see only 3 minutes left. I finished taking the notes just as the bell rang and I packed up my things. As I got up from my chair, I tripped. I fell from the leg that tripped me, hitting my head on the way down. I got up, keeping my eyes on the floor as I heard them laughing while I walked out. I then remembered that I was supposed to meet Kaoru and started going faster. "Kaoru!" I yelled happily. He smiled at me, before worry plastered itself across his face. "Kojiro what happened!?" He asked, reaching his hand to the side of my face. I felt the heat rush to my cheeks, before I felt a sharp pain as his fingertips touched the side of my face by my ear. I hissed in pain, pulling away from him. I felt an arm grab my wrist as I was pulled away, walking fast.
