Cherry's POV

I was on my way to Kojiro's house since we walk to school every morning together when I got a text.

Jiro❤️🛹- I won't be going today. I feel sick

Me- Ok

I took the shortcut, going straight to the school instead.

The day passed by slowly. Classes seemed to drag on for hours, and eating lunch alone was no fun. I was sitting on the roof, eating food I had gotten from the vending machine since Kojiro is usually the one to bring me food. There's no one else up here, like it's really quiet. I thought of all the ideas Ko and I had come up with up here. It's really lonely without him. After lunch, I continued on with the day. In gym I didn't participate, I just had no motivation. Without Kojiro I didn't feel like I could do anything.

At the end of the day I was walking to the edge of the school's property when I heard running behind me. "Kaoru! Kaoru!" I turned around to see a girl running towards me. "Calm down there" I said. She came to a stop in front of me, taking a second to catch her breath. "This is the only time I've ever seen you without that weird guy" She said giggling. I frowned, getting angry for what she said. "Anyways.... I-i got s-something for you" She said, holding out a letter. "No thanks" I said, rolling my eyes. "W-what" She said, shocked. "A) You came up to me and insulted my best friend. And B) I'm gay" I said, turning around to walk away. I could hear her sobbing as I walked away, going towards Kojiro's house.

I used my key to get into the house, noting that his parents were not home. I took off my shoes and walked up to his bedroom. The sight in front of me when I opened the door was sad. Joe's face was pale, but his cheeks were dusted pink. His hair was completely soaked, and his face was twisted in pain. I ran to his bathroom, soaking a cloth and bringing it back to his room. I walked up beside him, kneeling down. "Ko" I whispered, gently brushing the sticky hair out of his face. I laid the cloth down on his forehead as his eyes opened. "How'd you get in my house?" He asked, sitting up.

I chuckled, sitting on the end of the bed. "The key you gave me" "Oh yeah" He said, laying his head in his hands. "You're worse then "Just sick" Kojiro" He moved his head to look me in the eyes. "I didn't want to bother you" "You aren't a bother" I said, moving closer to him. He reached out one of his hands, motioning for me to go closer. The butterflies grew in my stomach as I scooted forward, now almost touching him. "Kaoru," He whispered, sitting straight up. He leaned forward. 'Shit, shit, shit' I thought as he began leaning forward. I didn't not want it to happen, I just felt bad, but i still closed my eyes. I felt his soft lips meet mine and squeezed my eyes shut.I kept my eyes shut for a few minutes, too scared to open them.

Eventually I did open them, and saw that he wasn't still sitting up. He had laid down, really close to my knee and had fallen asleep, drool already coming out the corner of his mouth. I giggled a bit and wiped it away. I laid down beside him, my face bright red. 'Holy shit.....That happened?'

I woke up to something moving. I went to sit up, but was instantly pulled back down. This is when I noticed arms wrapped around my waist. My face began to heat up again as I took in the sight. Kojiro was asleep on my chest. "Don't go," He whispered. I laid back down and stared at the ceiling.

"Kaoru" I sat up, rubbing my eyes. "Jeez, I thought you'd never wake up," Ko said, standing in the doorway of his room. I got out of his bed and stood up, wobbling a bit. "You should be in bed," I said. "I feel better, plus I'm hungry and I made ramen" He said, smirking. We both went downstairs and ate, while talking about school that day. "It wasn't very fun without you," I said as Kojiro got up to grab drinks. He came back and we continued talking and eating. "I'm done" I said, getting up and running up to his room.

'Do I tell him?' I thought. I was thinking of all the bad things that could happen when he walked in, noticing that my brows were creased and I was spaced out. He sat in front of me, reaching out and poking me on the nose. I turned red, turning my face away. "G-go back to sleep" I said. "Will you come with me?" "W-what?" "Nothing, sorry" He said, rubbing the back of his neck. 'Now or never Kaoru'

"I wouldn't mind," I said. "W-what" I moved closer. "I wouldn't mind going with you" His face turned bright red and he looked away. I cupped his face gently, turning his face towards me. "K-kaoru" " Do you remember what you did?" "No....Why don't you show me?" He said, suddenly gaining some confidence. I leaned in and placed my lips on his, to which he instantly kissed back. We pulled away after a few seconds, his head falling onto my chest to hide his flushed face. "I'm taking it you feel the same way as me?" "What do you mean?" He asked, raising his head once more. I grabbed his hand, slowly leading it to my heart and placing it there. He stayed still for a few seconds before picking mine up and doing the same thing to my hand.

"I like you" We both whispered at the same time, our faces turning pink. We both laughed before Ko pushed me down. He laid down beside me, once again wrapping his arms around me. I giggled, snuggling into his chest. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do all this" He whispered. "Me too. I even turned down a girl today because I was coming over to say that whether you liked it or not" I mumbled. "Shocking" He said, a slight sas in his tone. "You won't change your mind in the morning right?" He asked. I brought my head up and kissed his cheek. "If I do then slap me until I pass out" He laughed before kissing me again.

In the morning~

"Kojiro wake up for breakf-" I opened my brother's door to see him holding his best friend who was sprawled out on top of him. I pulled out my phone and took a couple pictures before running to the kitchen and grabbing some pans. I went back to his room and smashed the pans together a handful of times. They both screamed, jumping up, before noticing how they were positioned. "That's what you get" I said, smirking at them. "Shut it" They both muttered in unison. "Get out of bed lovebirds~" I said, before two pillows were thrown at me.
