Cherry's POV

Joe had been working very hard lately. It seemed as though he had triple the amount of customers than he used to at a time. I had noticed how he became extra clingy after working all day, or how he never was taking any time to relax himself. He was always doing things with me or making sure I was eating or such. So today I decided to plan something for him.

Tonight I'm going to take Joe stargazing. We used to do it in high school because he loved going, but ever since he opened his restaurant, we haven't gone. Tonight I planned to bring him to the old spot we used to go, with the help of Langa and Reki. The duo was coming over to help me make food and set up, and while I went to go steal Joe, they'd watch over the spot, making sure no one ruined my plan.

I started getting ready by packing blankets and lanterns. I had gone out a couple hours ago to pick up snacks and wine, picking out his favorite. The two idiots were supposed to come anytime now to help me make food for the date. It was around three when I heard the doorbell ring and went to answer it. I let the disaster duo in and lead them to the kitchen. "Ok, you guys remember what we're doing right?" I asked, putting my hand on my hip and raised an eyebrow. "Of course we do," Langa said blankly. I explained the recipes and we set out on making them.

After finishing the food, we loaded up my car and went to the hill. I laid down the blanket, while Reki put lights up in the trees. Langa had gone back to the car to get the blanket weights, but ended up tripping, causing Reki to chase after him. "Idiots" I whispered, going to fix the lights in the trees. I went to make sure Langa was ok, and after I got the weights and put them on the blanket. I put the food on plates, and got out the wine and glasses. After I thought everything was ready, I left to go get Joe.

Joe's POV

It's been so busy lately, and I feel so bad I don't get as much time as I used to to see Cherry. I've been trying to get in more customers so I can do something for him. I'm going to buy a house. A house, and an engagement ring that it. Tonight though, isn't as busy as usual. We still had a decent amount of people coming in, but there was enough that if I went home it wouldn't be affected. I was about to retire for the night when Cherry walked in. He looked over at me and walked up. "Put your stuff up for the night. You're coming with me." He said, walking back to the door, leaning against the wall. I put my stuff away and said my goodbyes, heading towards him.

Cherry's POV

As soon as I had Joe in the car I told the boys they could leave as soon as they saw my car. "Where we goin babe?" Joe asked me. "It's a surprise." was all I said as I continued to the spot. At this point the sun was setting, and we had one more stop to make before the date destination. I pulled into the parking lot just over from the spot, and went to get ice cream. I went around to Joe's side of the car, and when he got out I hooked arms with him, leading him to the front door. After we had both ordered and gotten our treats, we started the walk up the hill.

"So. You have something planned?" he asked me, nudging me in the hip. "Mhm" "Well what is it baby?" "A surprise hun." We continued on the path until we came to the split. "This way" I said, grabbing his hand and leading him up the hill. "It's been so long." Joe said until we reached the top. When the set up came into view, I could see that Reki and Langa were still there. "I thought I told you guys to leave." I said as I rolled my eyes. "We couldn't see your car" They answered, rubbing the backs of their necks. "Go" I said, laughing at them. Once they had left, I brought Joe to the blanket, and sat down myself. "You did this for me?" he asked me, looking surprised. "You've been working so hard lately, I just wanted to do something." I had looked away because I was blushing, when I felt a cold hand wrap around my jaw, and a pair of lips met mine.

"Thank you" He whispered against my lips and then kissed me again. I pushed him away teasingly. I picked up a strawberry and shoved it in his mouth. "There you go you thirsty gorilla." I said giggling. We ate, goofing around, putting whipped cream on each other's faces, and then Joe moved over to my side. He wrapped his arm around my waste, pulling me closer to him. "You didn't have to do all this love" he said, leaning his head against mine. "Yes I did. You needed some fun" I said, as I put my head in the crook of his neck. We sat like this for a little bit, until it got dark enough for the next part of the plan. "There's something else I want to do while we're here Kojiro." I said, moving from his arms, and laying on the blanket underneath us. Joe laid down beside me, intertwining our fingers.

"It's just like it was years ago." He said, looking over at me. I looked back at him and smiled. We sat there for a good chunk of time, until it started getting colder and the wind picked up. "Come on, we should go now." he said, sitting up beside me and putting the food containers into the bag beside us. I got up and took down the lights, as Joe packed the rest away. After we finished packing up, Joe pulled me close to him and we started walking towards the car. "Thank you Kaoru." He said, kissing my forehead. "It was nothing love."
