Chapter 11: Things That Go Boom!

"My name is Marianne Moons, Plasma Kat, my boyfriend is named Barry Allen and he is the fastest man alive. When we were eleven Barry saw his mother killed by something impossible. Barry's father went to prison for a crime he did not commit. An accident made both of us the impossible. To the outside world Barry is a normal forensic scientist, to those who know his secret identity he is the Flash. One day Barry hopes to find out who killed his mother and get justice for his father, but he will need my help for sure." Marianne's voice says.

Everyone was a nearby bar just hanging out. Marianne and Barry sit at a table together as they were bored. Barry had learned that due to his speed he wasn't able to get drunk. Marianne couldn't get drunk because of Barry's blood transfusions to allow her to heal quickly. She didn't have his speed but she had the inability to get drunk.

"Ugh. I hate not being able to get drunk." Marianne says.

"That would be a terrible con to using my blood to heal you." Barry says. She whines.

"Barry, let's pretend we are drunk and just go home." Marianne replies and Barry raises an eyebrow at her.

"Well, Iris expected us to be here and I invited Caitlyn and Cisco so you wouldn't get bored." Barry says.

"I just got back from Starling City. I want to go home and sleep. A movie night is calling our name." Marianne begs. Barry laughs and shakes his head.

"Just a little while longer." Barry says and Iris walks over to them.

"Drunk already?" Iris asks looking at Marianne who was pouting and Marianne shakes her head, "Well, good because the fun hasn't started yet." Marianne nods and she sighs after Iris walks away.

"We are leaving now." Marianne says and Barry sighs.

"You really want to go home, don't you?" Barry asks.

"Yes, please!" Marianne says.

"Well, let me tell Caitlyn first about our nonexistent drinking problem." Barry says. "Guys, we have a problem."

"We all have problems when a guy like him exists." Cisco says.

"We're not talking about Eddie." Marianne says.

"We're talking about this." Barry says and downs some drinks but doesn't get affected by them, "I can't feel anything."

"Yeah, that's usually what happens when you drink too much." Cisco says.

"No, the alcohol isn't affecting us." Barry says, "I literally feel nothing."

"It's your hyper metabolism. I need a sample." Caitlyn says.

"I'll get more shots." Cisco says.

"It's affecting me too." Marianne says.

"Marianne used to be a three drinks and five shots and she was drunk." Barry says.

"Hey." Marianne says.

"And you were adorable." Barry says.

"Good answer." Marianne says.

"I sweat I had a vacutainer in here." Caitlyn says.

"Wait, you carry a blood collection kit in your purse?" Barry asks.

"You have your hobbies." Caitlyn says.

"She has a point." Marianne says and Barry smiles at her. They have more drinks and Barry shakes his head.
