Chapter 27: Crazy For You!

"My name is Marianne Moons, the Plasma Kat. My boyfriend is named Barry Allen; he is the fastest man alive. When Barry was a child he saw his mother murdered by something impossible. His father went to jail for a crime he did not commit. Then an accident made both of us the impossible. To the outside world Barry is a normal forensic scientist but secretly he uses his extraordinary gifts to fight crime and to fight others like us. One day, Barry and I will find who killed his mother and get justice for his father. He is the Flash." Marianne's voice says.

It'd been another month and Marianne was now six months along. Marianne and Barry were anxiously waiting for the arrival of their little bundle of joy in just three months. Little did they know that the baby would only be an infant for a short while before it's mother's cat side kicks in. Lately, Barry has been letting Marianne help on small assignments since they haven't fought too many Meta-humans lately. Today, they were at a scene to save a couple who had crashed into a power line.

"Flash it's going to explode." Marianne says as she places her force field on Barry. He puts her down in the shadows and grabs the guy then goes back for the girl. When the car explodes Marianne's ears twitch and Barry puts the girl down who hugs the guy.

"How did?" The guy asks and the couple looks at Barry and Marianne and Marianne giggles wiggling her tail and she hugs Barry.

"Thank you, Flash." The guy says. Barry nods and Marianne's giggle is heard again as Barry rushes away with her.

[STAR Labs]

Barry has Marianne sit on his lap while Cisco cleans the suits. They were eating something since both were starving. Caitlyn walks over to them.

"So, what is the bet at today?" Caitlyn asks walking into the room.

"Twenty five it's a boy and fifty it is a girl. Iris really thinks we are going to have a girl because I'm the eldest of two girls and Barry is an only child." Marianne says.

"I suppose if you want to have the technically added to it." Barry says.

"Iris does not count as a sibling of yours. If we did it that way I'd have a brother and it'd be you." Marianne says.

"Never mind, I don't want to think of it that way." Barry says with a grin.

"I want to raise the boy bet. I think another Flash would be awesome." Cisco says, "Make it Seventy Five." Marianne sighs.

"I say it's a girl strictly because she's moody." Marianne says.

"Boys can be moody." Cisco argues.

"Dude, that is a scary road you are walking on." Barry says.

"What?" Cisco asks.

"She has plasma cannons on her finger tips." Barry says.

"Well you shouldn't worry as long as the baby is healthy it should do just fine." Caitlyn says.

"You say that because you are my doctor." Marianne says.

"And I will be the baby's too." Caitlyn says happily.

"Well right now the happy couple needs to go home and rest." Harrison says chiming into the conversation.

"Right, I suppose that could be a useful idea." Marianne says.

"Its movie night, she'll definitely be sleeping." Barry jokes as Marianne was getting up. She pokes him with a look on her face.

"I don't always sleep through movies. Only when the movie is boring." She says. Barry nods and hugs Marianne as she giggles and he laughs.
