Chapter 60: Flash Back!

 "My name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive, married to my beautiful wife Marianne Allen, also known as Plasma Kat, we work secretly with the help of our friends at Star Labs, we fight crime and find other meta-humans like us. All while raising our brilliant son, Constantine Allen. Marianne and I hunted down the man who killed my mother, but in doing so, I opened up our world to new threats. And I am the only one fast enough to stop them. I am the Flash!" Barry's thoughts say.

The group learns that Jay was Zoom. Marianne wasn't that surprised since Ellie had told her. Barry wasn't one-hundred percent certain of what Ellie said was true. But she didn't understand how the letter could have been so wrong. She sighs as she walks over to Barry who was also deep in thought. Constantine runs over to her and she smiles down at him.

'I did it again. I trusted someone I shouldn't have. Jay Garrick. Zoom. Just like I trusted Harrison Wells. Or well, Eobard Thawne. See what I mean? I made the same mistake twice. I thought they wanted to teach me how to use my powers, train me to get faster, but they didn't come here to help me. They came to use me, and take everything I love away from me. But no more. I'm gonna crack the code. Figure out how to improve my speed. I'm going to train harder, get stronger, and run faster than anyone's ever run before. And then I'm gonna stop Zoom.' Barry's thoughts say and Marianne hugs him from behind. Cisco walks in and finds Constantine playing with Jay's helmet.

"Can we please get rid of Jay's helmet?" Cisco asks and Marianne looks at Barry then at Constantine. They didn't tell Constantine, but he could tell something was up.

"Sorry, it keeps me motivated." Barry says.

"Well, it's giving me day-mares." Cisco says.

"I really don't like Constantine playing with it." Marianne says.

Later that evening Constantine sits quietly waiting for dinner. Marianne looks over at Barry as she; Iris and Barry were talking about Iris' date. Wally walks in and he sits by Iris as Constantine sat at the head of table across from where Joe was sitting that evening. The group starts talking about Wally's schooling and Marianne looks up at Barry when Wally helps her realize what they have to do. They get up.

"Joe, mind watching Constantine for us? We just thought of something for a case." Marianne says and they leave after Joe says sure.

[STAR Labs]

"You mean the 'old' Harrison Wells?" Cisco asks, "As in Eobard Thawne? You want him to teach you how to run faster? Oh, that's rich."

"How are you gonna do that?" Caitlyn asks.

"By running back to a time last year." Barry says.

"And what about the other you, the one from that other timeline?" Cisco asks.

"I'll knock him out with something. I mean, he's not like he'll see me coming, and then I'll have Wells teach me." Barry says.

"Barry, that's crazy." Caitlyn says.

"Nothing I've read is pointing me towards a solution, and if there's anybody that's figured out the key to get faster without V-9, it's him." Barry says. Caitlyn and Cisco both nod.

"What do you guys think?" Marianne asks.

"Your plan is asinine." Harry says.

"Did you find Jesse?" Cisco asks.

"Does it look like I found Jesse?" Harry asks, "How many times have you traveled through time?"

"A few." Barry says.

"Do you have any idea how many things you could screw up?" Harry asks.

"All I need is one conversation with Dr. Wells." Barry says.
