Chapter 72: Invasion - Finding the Courage To Lead!

Everyone begins training by fighting Supergirl. Some of the group gets really exhausted as they were getting their ass handed to them. Thea whines as she gets up.

"She really is a badass." Thea says.

"Yeah, it's kind of hot." Sara says.

"Let's go again." Oliver says. Everyone dishes attacks against Kara who just laughs as she took it all.

[Meanwhile]

After Lyla urges the president to strike back against the Dominators, the president leaves and Lyla rushes out when she hears an explosion. She rushes to check on the president and then announces into her comms that the Dominators have the president.

[Later That Night – STAR Labs Hangar]

Cisco heads into the van for something and he ends up discovering the message from Future Barry. Cisco listens to it and his eyes widen. Out of the van, Marianne stands watching everyone get beat up.

"Oof." Marianne says, "This is painful to watch."

"Are you sure you want me to keep going?" Kara asks.

"Yeah. Yes." Oliver says, "Just give us five minutes. Please." Oliver whimpers in pain and Marianne looks over at Barry.

'Barry... when this is over... I'd really like to talk to you about something.' Marianne's thoughts say and Barry looks over at her and gently nods.

"Hey." Cisco says walking over to Barry.

"Hey." Barry says.

"You know what this is?" Cisco asks holding up the message from Future Barry, "This is really you. Like, future you."

"Come on, look—" Barry goes to say.

"You told 'em, right?" Cisco asks.

"I'm gonna tell them, yeah, when this is finished." Barry says as he crosses his arms.

"When this is finished?" Cisco asks, "Even though you're about to lead them through an alien war? Even after Flashpoint? After everything you've messed up? All the lives you've changed."

"Cisco." Marianne says.

"You still don't think you should tell them?!" Cisco asks.

"Tell us what?" Sara asks and Cisco motions to the group. Barry takes a deep breath before looking at Oliver then at Marianne. Both nod in unison.

"Jax and Professor Stein found a message from me in the future saying that, right now, I can't be trusted." Barry says.

"And why would future you say that?" Sara asks.

"I think because I went back in time and changed the timeline, and now things here are different than before I left, including some of your lives." Barry says.

"Some of our lives? Like who?" Kara asks.

"Marianne. Cisco. Caitlyn. Wally. Dig." Barry says.

"Me? Why? What happened?" Diggle asks confused and Oliver walks over to him.

"Hey. Apparently, you had a daughter." Oliver whispers.

"I had a daughter, Barry?" Diggle asks.

"Baby John... was Baby Sara." Barry explains.
