Chapter 86: I Know Who You Are!

 "My name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive, married to my beautiful wife Marianne Allen, also known as Plasma Kat, the two of us, to the outside world, we seem like ordinary forensic scientists. Secretly, with the help of our friends at STAR Labs, we fight crime and find other meta-humans like us. All while raising our brilliant son who's inherited my speed. After defeating Zoom and saving the multiverse, I ran back in time and created the alternate timeline, Flashpoint. I restored the timeline to how it was, only to find things weren't as I left them. I brought new threats to our world, and I'm the only one fast enough to stop them. I am The Flash!" Barry's voice explains.

Barry is shown as he stops running while chasing Savitar. Barry looks ahead at Savitar who turns to face him. Barry's eyes narrow as he takes a deep breath.

"I know who you are." Barry says.

[16 Hours Earlier]

"Her name is Tracy Brand. She's one of the world's top theoretical physicists – or you know, she will be." Barry says.

"No kidding. Girl scout earn her merit badges. 2021 Nobel Prize, Copley Medal, presidential commendation." Cisco says.

"She's a genius, but what's that to us?" Joe asks.

"She's the key to stopping Savitar. Future me said that four years from now, Dr. Brand invents the technology that traps Savitar in the Speed Force." Barry explains.

"Four years too late." Joe says.

"Yeah, but if she invents the tech then, then maybe she's working on the prototype now." Iris suggests.

"That's exactly right, so we should find her." HR says.

"Agreed." Cisco says.

"Oh my god." Marianne says as a contraction hits. Marianne takes a deep breath as she grips the bar on the computer table. Barry soothes her back.

"Ooh, I can just tell that giving birth to Ellie and Ronnie is going to be soooo painful." Marianne says.

"Yeah." Barry says as he makes a worried yet pained face.

"You're having contractions? Should we go to the hospital?" Iris asks.

"No, no, when they are closer together. This is the second one I've had today but that was hours ago." Marianne says. Cisco and Julian argue about Caitlyn and Marianne puts a forcefield between the two of them. They both say something and Marianne growls angrily.

"Alright. No fighting." Barry says.

"Just saying." Cisco says, "We got a hit. Tracy Brand, currently enrolled in CCU's Theoretical Physics program."

"So our hopes of defeating an evil speed god hinges... on a grad student?" HR asks.

"I want to hear nothing out of the drummer." Marianne says and HR closes his mouth as he was going to say something but she shoots him a look. Marianne heads with Barry, HR and Cisco to Central City University.

"Ahh, the soul-sucking fluorescence of academia." Cisco says.

"Yeah, this is exciting, though. It's like meeting Norbert before he was Einstein." HR says.

"Why is everyone staring at Marianne?" Barry asks.

"I'm a pregnant woman. These people haven't even thought about their futures." Marianne says and she whines when another contraction hits.

"I'm sorry." Barry says and Marianne looks at Barry with narrowed eyes.

"I may end up breaking your hand this time." Marianne says.
