Chapter 18

Logan's (POV)

It has been two months since I buried my sister and the pain was still fresh. My parents had moved on from her death, throwing themselves into the upcoming threat. My father had made continuous border runs with some of my pack warriors, Mia and Sam had poured over any evidence they could get in order to find the mole.

They kept hitting road blocks, Sierra went back to get their parents and talk with the sorceress that had hidden her wolf trying to get more information and we had yet to hear from her.

The builders had finished the under ground hide out Mia had suggested and it turned out great, we haven't told any of the pack members yet because we didn't know who was on our side or not.

In all honesty this was not how I wanted Mia and I to start our lives together but life had never been easy on her and she said 'why start now?'

I didn't like the thoughts she had on life but I understood them considering everything she had went through. She told me more horror stories of her father and it killed me knowing what she went through. All I wanted was to make her happy but we couldn't even have that because of this stupid war.

She told me about what the rogue had said and ill be damned if he got his grubby paws on her, it would be over my dead body. I contacted several other packs and told them what had been going on and they said they would be on the look out.

Some even offered to help fight, Mia considered this and accepted. They would live outside the border and be called when the fighting began as a weapon the rogues wouldn't see coming.

They had immediately fallen in love with her, saying she was playing this smart. Doing everything under the packs noses and secretly creating an army to let lose on those who threaten her pack. The unmarked Alphas were jealous, wishing they had a mate like her.

I was shining with pride at my mate, when I didn't think she could surprise me more, she did over and over again. I thought that I had been a good alpha to my pack before I claimed her but she turned me into the alpha I had always wanted to be.

My mate was amazing, she cared for the pack and for me. She was tender and soft, harsh and unyielding when she needed to be.

'Are you okay, love?' I looked up from my desk to see her standing in the doorway of my office, her hair down flowing around her shoulders have her this angelic look.

'Yeah baby, I was just thinking.' I sighed running my fingers through my hair. I watched as she closed the door and flipped the lock before making her way to me.

Mia's (POV)

When I asked if Logan was okay, I knew he wasn't stress was getting to him, his family hasn't had any time to heal with the loss of his sister.

So I closed the door behind me and locked it. I walked over to his desk, pushed his chair back and sat on the edge propping my feet up on either side of his strong legs.

I felt my eyes go grey and in response saw his eyes go black. I don't know what it was about seeing the lust in his eyes but it drove me crazy, I loved that it was me that put that look on his face.

He picked me up from the edge of his desk and sat me on his lap, effectively straddling his hips. He cupped the back of my neck and growled when I refused to move. Smirking at him I ground my hips on his growing erection, loving the way he moaned and closed his eyes from the onslaught of pleasure that went through his body.

When he opened his eyes, they were half open and half closed giving him this sexy look to his face. I loved when he looked at me like that, the desire that showed in them turned me on.

Not being able to resist him any longer, I kissed him. He growled and placed his hands on my hips while I rocked bak and forth on him. We stayed that way for a little while until the foreplay became too much.

Standing up with me in his arms he wrapped my legs around his waist with one hand while he pushed the papers off the desk with the other.

Laying me down on his now empty desk, he began kissing down my neck and when he reaches his mark, he lightly licked and sucked causing me to buck my hips in response.

With a growl I pushed him away and began to hastily remove my clothes and through half lidded eyes watched him do the same. When we were both completely naked, he covered me with his body slightly teasing my entrance with his member.

I moaned and let out a frustrated groan when he refused to go any further. He chuckled softly as he moved away from my breasts that he had been sucking and licking.

I watched as he knelt between my legs and began an assault that drove me wild. He clamped my hips I between his hands and pressed down so I had no where to go. He licked up and circled my clit before moving away, driving me crazy with want.

Unable to stand it anymore I placed my foot on his shoulder and pushed him back, sitting up on the edge of the desk. He growled before he stood up and towered over me, he jerked my legs open and slammed home.

I growled as he entered me and began to move. He was thrusting so hard that the desk began to groan and slide from our weight so he picked me up and pushed me against the wall.

I wrapped my legs around him and swiveled my hips as he thrust over and over again. Our moans were getting loud but I couldn't care less, he nuzzled my mark causing more pleasure to shoot through me.

I needed him deeper and harder, as if he sensed my need he grabbed my hips and angled himself deeper causing me to scream out his name. I felt my self getting closer to the edge and as he thrust himself deep my body clamped down around his shaft and I shuddered in delight.

He thrust a couple more times before joining me in ecstasy. He slid to the floor our bodies still joined and laid his head on my sweaty shoulder.

'God woman I think one of these days your going to kill me,' he muttered. I laughed softly as I ran my hands down his neck enjoy the little after shocks of my orgasm. We got up off the floor and got dressed, we picked up his papers and made it all neat again.

Logan pulled me onto his lap and I cuddled into him as he looked at the bills and concerns of the pack members. On top of everything we still had to run the pack like nothing was going on and that was the most difficult thing of all.

We didn't want to alert anyone that we knew something was up because our traitor would catch wind of it and then all our planning would go to waste. Yet, we still needed to make sure everyone was protected.

Things were becoming more and more complicated. We jumped at the knock on the door,

'Guys it's time.' We heard Sam say before his footsteps retreated. I sighed and got off Logan's lap making my way to the door, I hadn't realized it had gotten so late.

I turned back towards Logan as I watched him stretch.
