Mia's (POV)
The night worked out amazingly, everyone worked well together. My mom and I worked on my ability to use water as well.
She told me that anger is the fuel that I needed to start my fires, we still haven't discovered what Sierras gift was yet.
We had devised a plan to attack the rogues that were approaching. We would let them slip onto pack land without an alarm. We had secured cameras all throughout the forest to watch their progress and hopefully see who was feeding them information as well.
If we did, we would be able to send the rest of the pack off without sending anyone back for them. We would met them at the clearing about a mile away from the pack house, two alphas had a link to our cameras so that they could surround the rogues and cut off any escape that they could have.
Some if us would be hiding in the trees, we made sure to run all over the woods so that our scents would be so powerful that they wouldn't be able to detect us but we weren't sure if it would last or if it would even work.
I was nervous, I wanted this fight to be over but I didn't want it to even start. I knew some of us might die but it was a chance they were all willing to take.
'Everything will be okay,' Logan whispered in my ear. I was sitting in a chair that over looked our backyard, it was a fantastic view with the trees and the mountains that laid beyond it.
'It won't some of us could die and most of us will be hurt.' I said as I continued to stare outside.
'It's a chance that they are willing to take, it's not just for you baby, it's for the whole pack.' He said turning me to face him. The sun was high and bright making the blue in his eyes stand out, he looked so handsome and full of life.
'I know' I whispered as he pulled me into a tight hug.
'Come on we need to go eat and get things prepared.' We got up slowly and walked into the kitchen.
In less than 8 hours our world was about to be turned upside down and part of me didn't want that to happen. I sat at the table in a trance trying to find a way where we didn't have to fight but I couldn't.
If we didn't fight we would be on the run and the other packs would be too.
'Alphas, we have an issue.' Sam said and he strolled into the kitchen with Sierra in tow.
'What is it?' Logan asked.
'Two packs have been attacked and eliminated, my sources say that they fought a group of rogues and those who survived were given a choice, fight with them or die.' Sam said standing at the table looking at me and then at Logan.
'How many joined them?' Logan asked sitting down at the table and shaking his head.
'About twenty from each, some were able to escape fleeing into another packs territory that's how I was able to gather the information. There were only maybe one or two from each pack but they didn't get out unharmed.'
'Shit, this isn't good.' Logan said as he slammed his hand down on the table.
'What does this mean?' I asked.
'This means they have more fighters than I thought. It takes quite a few to take down a pack but two? Plus they added about 20 from each pack it means they have the upper hand when it comes to numbers.' Logan said staring at me.
'Sam, I need you to warn the other packs.' Logan said turning to look at him.
'I'm on it,' he stated before running out the door.
'I have to show you guys something,' Sierra whispered tilting her was towards the back door.
We followed her into the woods until we were far enough from the pack house, she pulled a knife out of her boot and advanced towards Logan.
My guard instantly went up and I was in front of him in a flash. 'What the hell do you think you are doing?' I growled, my eyes flashed grey and I could feel my canines peaking out.
'Showing you my gift, I found out last night when Sam and I went to our room, he was bleeding and I put my hand over his wound and it closed, just like that.' She said snapping her fingers.
'You could do that before you got your wolf,' I growled at her.
'I know but it was magic I learned when I bumped into the sorceress, she taught me a couple of things before I left to find our parents. This, this is something different.'
'Then use me,' I said holding my arm out. She cut my arm with a swift flick of her wrist, it was deep, almost to the bone.
She laid her hand over my wound and instantly the pain went away, when she pulled her hand away it was like she never touched me. I examined my arm closely, there were no marks, nothing, not even a scar.
'That's pretty amazing,' I said glancing up at her.
'I know huh? But watch this shit.' She turned around and spread her arms wide, wind whirled around us giving the air a cold chill.
She concentrated on a branch and it started to crack, soon it broke free and flung toward another tree with a swipe of her arm. It crashed and splintered into pieces. She concentrated on a boulder not to far away and it lifted in the air, with another swipe of her arm she brought it crashing through multiple trees before dropping it and turning to face us.
I was shocked, my mouth hung open as I stared at her. I tried forming words but nothing came out, honestly I probably looked like a fish without water.
'How the hell did you do that?' Logan asked beside me.
She wiggles her fingers and smiled at us. 'It's my gift, apparently I can levitate things with my arms.' Her grin turned sheepish as she continued, ' I uh, got mad at Sam childish really but that man can really push my buttons. Anyway, I started ranting and raving at him, really he should learn to keep his mouth shut.'
'He said something and I had this insane need to throw something at him, I flicked my wrist and he slammed into the wall.' She scratched her head glancing down. 'As soon as this fight is over, we are going to have to replace it.'
She looked at Logan who just shook his head and sighed. I laughed at them, I couldn't help it. I'm surprised Sierra wasn't born with red hair because of her fiery temper.
'What?' She asked with a tilt of her head.
'Logan was right, Sam sure does have his hands full,' I said laughing harder.
She crossed her arms over her chest and childishly stuck her tongue out at me causing me to double over in laughter.
'We need you to practice this too.' She said when I finally recovered.
I nodded my head and reached out and touched her arm. I felt a little spark like the night before when my mother taught me how to connect with my powers. I stepped away and stared at the boulder Sierra had dropped.
It started to shake and then nothing.
'Try again,' she said. I tried it again it shook a little harder and then like before nothing. We tried for an hour and still the boulder hasn't budged. It was becoming late in the afternoon and we had to get ready so there wasn't anymore time we could waste.
We ate quickly and went upstairs to our room, Sam, Sierra and my parents snuck in to watch the monitors with us. We had some posted just beyond the border to give us time to gather everyone and go.
The sun was starting to set and there had been no movement, we were starting to think that they weren't coming until we saw movement at the bottom of the screen.
Someone was inching their way through the forest towards the border from our land. I couldn't get a good look at them because they were sneaking through some brush.
Logan flicked to another camera just as the person made their way from the brush and past a tree.
'Oh my god,' Logan said.
'Spencer.....' I whispered as a single tear slid down my cheek
