Logan's (POV)

Mia was sitting on the edge of our bed in a trance, I couldn't imagine what she is going through right now. I could find out by going through her thoughts but I wanted her to feel like she had her own thoughts and privacy. She would tell me when something was bothering her, of that I am absolutely positive.

'They seem like nice people,' she whispered looking out the window.

I sat down next to her and pulled her into my arms. 'You look just like your mother.' I whispered to her and felt her smile against my shoulder.

'Sierra looks a lot like our dad, I can't believe they are here.' She said hugging me closer. I held her for a few more moments before I pulled away.

'We need to get going baby, training starts soon and you need to eat something.' I cupped her cheek and kissed her softly, grabbing her hand I led her to the kitchen where Sierra was cooking and Sam was standing close.

Their parents were sitting at the table wearing sweatshirts and jeans with gloves on their hands. I gave them a questioning look and they responded with a shake if their head and tapped their ears.

They were afraid someone would be listening and to be honest I couldn't blame them. I shook my head that I understood. Sierra finished cooking while we sat down and enjoyed her home cooked meal.

We all headed up to our rooms and waited for the call. The other packs did security runs to make sure that no one was out in the woods and they hooted an owl call to let us know that it was safe to come out.

We snuck out our bedroom windows and silently made our way to the training grounds, my fighters were already there as well as the other packs. I pulled Mia close to my side as Sierra, Sam and her parents stepped through the trees.

'Who are they?' Both of the pack Alphas asked at once.

'They are here to help, they are friends of the family.' I didn't want to say too much because of all the suspicion going around.

'My name is Michael and this is my mate Sasha.' Mia's father stepped forward shaking the hands of the alphas before turning to me.

'I know you have been training but we also need the element of surprise.' He said his eyes glowing that familiar grey that I've seen Mia and sierras do a million times.

I was about to say something when Mia froze at my side. I stepped back as she raised from the ground her arms out stretched, her eyes going white.

'The time has come, they will be here by nightfall tomorrow. Their numbers have increased.' She turned her gaze to Sierra as her hair fanned out behind her. 'They know of you and you are to be taken as well, be prepared for this battle will not be won easily.' As those last words were spoken, she slowly drifted back to the ground and her eyes returned to normal.

I was about to tell her what she said but she held up her hand.

'Don't bother, I'm getting the hang of this,' she said with a laugh. 'I remember everything I said and I must say I sound kinda creepy.'

Gentle laughs and snorts could be heard from the surrounding wolves. I glanced up and met her parents gaze. They were filled with wonder and perhaps a little envy.

'She is the one, Michael' Sasha whispered looking up at her mate.

'I always thought it would be Sierra but wow.' Michael shook his head and glanced down at Sasha lovingly.

'I never believed she would be right,' Sasha said glancing back at Mia.

'What are you talking about?' I demanded as I pulled Mia to my side.
