Chapter 10

Logans (POV)

'What's a grey?' she asked like it was such a simple question. It was kind of hard to explain when we truly didn't know exactly what a grey was ourselves, all we had was history from wolf to wolf and records from long ago to go by.

'A grey is a really powerful line of werewolves, we had been led to believe that they were extinct but seeing as you are one, your line was hidden very well.'I looked to my father as he spoke softly.

'There is a story of a love that surpassed anything anyone could imagine that werewolves soul mates couldn't compete with this kind of love, an pure white alpha met his mate and immediately they mated barely taking the time to make it an empty room before they had to have each other.'

I waited patiently for him to continue, he seemed to be wracking his brain for the exact details of what he had heard and read.

'After they completed the mating, the alpha took his new mate and they went into the woods there he asked her to show him her wolf. When she shifted he couldn't believe his eyes, she was truly exquist in form and beauty, as big as his alpha wolf she exuded power and authority. He knew that there was no way she was a normal she-wolf and she began to tell him the story about her people.'

'They lived happily for sometime before they were vicously attacked by some rogues, they were challenging them because of their strength. Rogues will attack to prove themselve and these rogues wanted a foot hold in the werewolf community and figured taking on the strongest pair of wolves would give them that.'

'They were caught unaware and unprepared, we don't know the full story but they fought and in the midst of battle the alpha lost his mate. Unable to live without her he ran for the woods leaving his pack and never coming back.'

'What happened to the rogues and the pack?' she asked quietly.

'No one knows and if they do we haven't found anyone with concrete proof of what really happened. I'm telling you what i can prove, we are only going off of what we found in our records and words from other packs that match stories that we were told. Some packs have different stories but unless we can prove it we truly don't know what happened. We know she died and he ran, other than that we don't know the details of their lives or what she was as a grey.'

'I was told that grey's thrived long ago but they were destroyed, it's possible that there are a few of you left besides you but we can't know because we honestly thought they were extinct until we met you.'

She nodded and looked lost in thought before she walked to the back door and headed outside without a word.

I couldn't imagine what was going through her mind at this, we couldn't tell her what we didn't know this was new territory for us as it was for her. When she stood up and walked outside i didn't know what to think, would she leave because this was too much for her to handle? I felt my heart clentch at the thought, i had just finally gotten her to agree to be my mate and the idea of her leaving me was more than my wolf and i could bare.

I followed her outside and saw her paused on the end of the porch, she was staring at Sam who had been working out in the middle of the yard.

'It's you,' she whispered staring at him like he was a ghost. 'from that night, it's you.' I frowned until i saw Sam's face. At first it was scrunched up in a frown and then his eyebrows shot to his forehead and he linked with me.

'She remembers,' Sam stated softly as he kept looking at her, she slowly walked down the stairs never taking her eyes off of him before she ran at him and jumped. He wasn't quite prepared for her and stumbled a little bit before he caught his balance and her.

'Thank you,' she whispered to him and hugged him real close before she let go and dropped to the ground.

'You do know that i wasn't the only one there that night right?' he told her looking her in the eyes, before turning to me.

'You were there too?' i nodded at her question.'But i don't remember you, i only remember him even though i didn't see his face but his eyes have always been in my dreams. The dark figure that saved me.' she whispered looking up at me.

i smiled at her and took her hand before placing it over my heart and kissing her forehead, she sighed and sunk further into my embrace.

'So what are you guys up to?' Sam asked when she pulled away from me.

'She was going to show us her wolf, isn't that right honey?' i heard my mom say as her and dad came walking out the back door.

'She is a grey,' i told Sam as his eye brows shot up to his forehead in disbelief.

'No, fucking, way.' he said astounded.

'Her wolf is as big as mine if not bigger.' i told him on a laugh, seriously if his eyes could bulge anymore i would be surprised if they stayed inside the sockets.

'I don't believe you, show me.' he stated staring at Mia. She glanced at me and i nodded for her to go ahead. I watched as she stepped back and shifted to her beautiful wolf, my parents and Sam gasped before i shifted shape.

it was offical Sam's eyes could bulge out further and still stay inside the sockets, he kept looking at me and then back to her in amazement.

'
