Sunghoon placed a hand on his knee and let out a sigh, peering up at the digital clock on his bedside table. With a little grunt, he stood up and went to look outside of his window. Jaeyun usually came around this time and Jay was actually coming over to hang out, so he hoped for the two to meet today. He hoped. But the older male wasn't coming, there was no sight of him. Jaeyun usually came around this time, right after the long hand struck the 12, marking a new hour, 2 pm. He wasn't sure why but he always appeared around this time but today, it was different.

"Hoon! Jay is here!" Yeji yelled from downstairs, Gaeul barks could be heard right after. Sunghoon smiled a little bit and made his way down the stairs and towards the front door where Jay was taking off his shoes, shrugging off his jacket. "Hellooo," Jay waved, throwing his bag on the couch before jumping beside it, signaling for Sunghoon to sit beside him.

"Hey Yeji, did mom go to the grocery store already?" Sunghoon called out to his little sister who was already halfway to her room. She turned on her heels to look back at him before nodding her head. "Yeah, she left a few minutes ago. Why, do you need something?" Yeji was already removing her phone from her pocket. "No, no. I just was asking," His younger sister sent a little smile towards him before running up the stairs towards her room.

This year Sunghoon would be turning 16 but he had yet to introduce Jaeyun to his friends, he was determined to have him meet Jay today. "Hey I'll be right back, I'm going to go and get my phone," Jay nodded and watched as the male walked up the stairs to go into his room. But upon opening his door, there Jaeyun was on his bed with one of his pillows in his arms. "YAH! YOU SCARED ME!" He yelled, with his arms up.

Jay's eyes widen as he looked up the stairs, feet already scurrying to follow after the younger. "What happened?!" He yelled, running up the stairs. "Jaeyun how did you get in here—" Sunghoon had a hand on his chest, turning to face a panting Jay. "Dude what happened?!" Jay looked into his room, scanning to see what might have scared his friend. "Oh, it was just Jaeyun..." Sunghoon's sentence trailed off as he turned to look back at the older, he wasn't there anymore. "Jaeyun?" He called out before entering to look around the room.

"Where did he go...?" Sunghoon whispered to himself, Jay turning him around. "Are you alright man? Are you hallucinating?" Jay had a worried expression on his face. The blonde male always was concerned for his best friend ever since they first met, but he knew that Sunghoon handled his worries and problems well enough on his own. But ever since this Jaeyun came into the conversation, he began to worry again. "I'm just—Let's go, maybe I'm just imagining things. He was supposed to come today as well, that's why," Jay sighed and nodded, beginning to walk back down the stairs.

The next time Jaeyun showed up was when Heeseung, Ni-ki, and Jay came over to Sunghoon's house to hang out. The older male was already at his house before the three showed up. "Were you or were you not at my house last week Thursday? I swear I saw you when I came upstairs to get my phone." The two were in the living room, watching some random cartoons together that played on the TV.

"Hm, I wasn't there." Jaeyun shrugged, putting down his cup of water. Gaeul was on Sunghoon's lap, sleeping the entire time that Jaeyun was there. "Really? Jay was really concerned for me that day, today hopefully you'll get to meet with them," Jaeyun hummed before nervously playing with his sleeves. "I'll need to leave a little early again, I have some things to do with my uncle today," Jaeyun stated with a softer tone. Sunghoon nodded and went to place Gaeul onto the pillow beside him, petting at her fur.

"My friends are coming over today, would you be okay with staying to say hello?" Sunghoon asked, hopeful that Jaeyun would agree. It was obvious that he was shy and didn't certainly enjoy meeting new people. "Hopefully they'll come over in time, I've got to go in a few minutes" Sunghoon furrowed his eyebrows and looked away and down at his feet. Jaeyun always made excuses to leave whenever he mentioned that his friends were coming over. He tried not to think much of it but it worried him, maybe Jaeyun was afraid of his friends.

"Are you afraid of them? Are you uncomfortable with—" The older looked up at the time and stood up from his place on the couch, pointing towards the front door with his hand. "I've got to go now Hoon, I'm sorry" He bowed, already making his way towards the door. Sunghoon pouted and went to follow close behind him, grabbing onto his hand. "Look I'm really sorry as well if it feels like I was... forcing you." Jaeyun looked up at him and smiled, wrapped his arms around Sunghoon.

"No, no I don't feel that way. I've just really got to go now," Jaeyun whispered, backing away and exiting the door. "Bye then, Jaeyun" "Bye!" He jumped down each step and waved before walking off. He noticed Ni-ki, Jay, and Heeseung walking head-on towards Jaeyun. "Oh, hello hyung!" Ni-ki called waving. The four crossed paths but didn't spare a single glance towards each other, not one.

"There, that was Jaeyun!" Sunghoon smiled to himself, leaning against the door while the other three walked into his house. "Who?" Heeseung asked. Jay jumped onto the couch and Ni-ki stood beside the wall, kneeling to pet Gaeul who went to greet them. "The one that you guys passed by on the way here? The guy with the black hair, was wearing a plain white shirt and flannel? Kinda hard to miss him," They looked at each other and then back at Sunghoon.

"What do you mean? We didn't pass anyone?"
