— 12 —

Sunghoon played with his backpack straps nervously. He didn't know how but both Jake, Jay, and he was left at the lunch table. The others had already left to begin their walks to their classrooms since they were a bit far but these three were left, waiting for the bell. Jay had History next but something else was brought up to his attention constantly, Jake. He noticed how the male would take little glances at him before nervously looking back away.

"I think you and Sunghoon have the same math class," Jay suddenly stated, looking over at Jake. The familiar face was driving him crazy, Sunghoon tried his best not to look up at him. The youngest of the three was packing up his bag, sipping at his juice from time to time. The lump in his throat showed how nervous he was.

"I'll get going then, I'll see you guys after class! Oh, Jake we usually meet outside after school, will you join us?" Jake thought for a moment before nodding. "Sure, bye Jay," He waved, finally settling and looking over at Sunghoon. He was looking at his lap whenever he looked at Sunghoon though, it made him a little nervous as well.

"So what's your name?" Jake asked softly, scooting to lean just a little closer to him. Students began to clear from the cafeteria so it was much easier to focus on the black-haired male without the noise of everyone talking. Sunghoon slowly looked up from his lap, fiddling around with his hands. "I'm Sunghoon," He smiled nervously.

Part of him thought he was dreaming. That at any moment he would wake up and Jaeyun would still be his imagination. But whoever this Jake was, reminded him so much of Jaeyun, it was scary.

"Is it alright if we walk to math together?" Sunghoon was slowly putting all of this together in his brain. They were so alike in personality and his little smile was embedded in his head already. "Yeah, of course," Jake smiled at him and stood up from the seat, waddling to stand beside him. "Let's go then," Sunghoon whispered loud enough for him to hear, throwing his backpack over his shoulder.

This Jake was a little shorter than Jaeyun from what he remembers, Sunghoon found it adorable. But besides that and his hair not brown, they were pretty much identical. "I saw you doing your homework, is the work hard?" Jake suddenly asked. They were walking at a normal pace, stay close as the hallways were already packed with students navigating to their classes.

"Well, it's hard because I don't understand... I don't really pay attention in class," Sunghoon laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, Jake laughed as well. The older continued to look at him as if telling him to go on. "Plus the teacher doesn't even care that we aren't paying attention. So most of us do our own thing all period while he teaches. I mean I try but I always find other things to think about or do," Jake nodded and smiled up at him. "Would you like to sit by me? There's always an empty seat behind me,"

Sunghoon was beginning to slowly warm up to Jake and it was clear that Jake was as well, you could see how relaxed he was compared to when they were in the cafeteria. The two looked at each other before Jake nodded. "That would be nice, thank you," Sunghoon nodded and opened the door for Jake, allowing him to walk into their math classroom first.

"Good afternoon Mr. Lim," Sunghoon bowed, his teacher smiled at the both of them. "You must be..." He looked down at his paper. "Jaeyun? You may take a seat in any of the free seats at the back," Jake nodded with a small wave, following Sunghoon to the back of the room where their seats were. Jake couldn't help but feel the stares of a few people as he walked down the aisle of seats. "Here are our seats,"

Somehow five of them fit into the two benches where they usually met after school, waiting for two males in particular. "Where are they? Are they walking like turtles or something?!" Ni-ki groaned, looking down at the time on his watch. Jungwon whined and leaned his head against Jay's shoulder, kicking his feet. "What's taking them so long," Jay complained as well.

"Are you sure they're together?" Heeseung asked and looked over at Jay. "I took a look at Jake's schedule and they have the same classes back to back at the end of the day. So they should be together," Sunoo suddenly shot up from leaning back against the bench. "Didn't you guys find Sunghoon's reaction to Jake hyung a little weird?" Jay hummed, everyone agreed. "He called Jake, Jaeyun like his imagination. Maybe he was mistaken?" Jungwon suggested.

"Maybe Jake reminded him of Jaeyun," "But Jake said that Jaeyun was his Korean name, isn't that weird?" Jay added. "That could just be a coincidence honestly," Heeseung shrugged his shoulders. There was a burst of familiar laughter coming from in front of them, their heads snapping forwards at the sound of Sunghoon laughing.

"See what happens when you doze off, Mr. Lim scolded you in front of everyone!" Jake laughed, slapping Sunghoon's back softly. "I was just pretending to joke around, and you pointed me out when you rose your hand" Sunghoon sulked. Everyone slowly looked at each other before returning their gaze to the two who were joking around. It looked like they've known each other forever.

"And YOU, you were the only one answering questions all period!" Sunghoon pointed out, laughing at Jake's expression. "Well SOMEONE had to answer and I was that someone," He crossed his arms over each other. They finally reached their group of friends after a few more steps, looking at the five that stared at them awkwardly.

"Since when did you guys become besties?" Sunoo joked, standing up from the bench. One by one everyone began to stand up from their spots on the bench, stretching out their limbs. "Since math, did you guys know that Jake is a bully?" "I'm not!" Sunghoon laughed again. "Hey, Jake hyung do you want to hang out with us?" Jungwon asked.

This Jaeyun was different from the other Jaeyun. Sunghoon felt a little different as well and he felt like he could joke around with this Jaeyun more. And though he wanted badly to bring up that his imaginary friend was almost exactly like him and that they had the same name. He decided not to, he wanted to get to know this Jaeyun first and build a friendship with him.

"Sure!"
