Sunghoon grabbed onto the toast that Yeji held up to him before going to grab banana milk from the refrigerator. His younger sister went to sit on the chair by the counter, looking at him with tired eyes. "Why did you wake me up so early? It's still 6 am," She whined, setting her head on the table with a little groan. He laughed and took the seat beside her, pushing banana milk towards her. "Don't you need to go to school too? Plus, we should be getting ready by this time so we aren't late. Especially you, the walk to your school is a longer walk than the to high school," Yeji pouted and stood from her chair, going to fix her uniform which was ruffled and messy from how quickly she tried to dress earlier.

"I'm going to get going when I finish this," He held up the toast, biting the corner. "I'm going to walk to school with a friend that's why," Yeji hummed and went to go to the living room, coming back with her backpack in hand. "I'll just wait for mom to come downstairs, then I'll go. Hopefully, she can drop me off today," Sunghoon nodded, already half done with his breakfast. But Yeji swore, all she did was turn around before Sunghoon was on his feet. The toast was long gone and he was on his way to throw the banana milk carton away in the trash. "Did you not chew or something?!" Yeji called out to her brother who was already reaching for the doorknob. "Nope! See you after school!" He exclaimed, shutting the door behind him.

Sunghoon found himself in front of the familiar beige house again. He took a deep breath and began to walk up the stairs, letting it out with a soft huff. With a little shrug of his shoulders, he fixed his blazer and adjusted his backpack to sit perfectly on his shoulders. Please be Jake, please tell me it wasn't a dream. He took another deep breath, this time not letting it out just yet. Sunghoon could feel how fast his heart was beating as he reached up the knock on the plain white door. Please be Jake...

A woman opened the door with a confused look on her face. He let out the breath with a disappointed look in his eyes, clasping both of his hands behind his back. Of course, a dream. There was a short pause for the woman to examine the teenager in front of her. "Who—Are you?" She asked, backing up a little, ready to shut the door on him. "I'm sorry. I must've mistaken the address, I'm really sorry" The woman nodded, ready to shut the door on him. "It's—It's alright. Just run along then,"

"I didn't get to ask you yesterday but how was your first day?" Jake's mother asked from the opposite side of the dining room table. He, his mother, and his older brother were all eating breakfast together when his mother finally decided to ask about their day. Jaehyuk, his older brother, was already in university but took the opportunity to save the money and stay with his family. (I promise Yeji and Jaehyuk will always make a comeback here 😎)

"It was good, I made some new friends" Jake answered, taking a bit of his toast before putting it down to sip some water. Mrs. Sim smiled and went to look over at Jaehyuk. "I didn't really make friends yet but I did talk with the guy sitting next to me in chemistry. The day was just busy with lectures so I didn't interact with others much," The older answered. "Well I'm glad that your making friends Jake and I'm sure there'll be someone soon Jaehyuk," She smiled at the both of them before going to eat again.

It was 7 am when there was a knock at the door, Layla's head could be soon peaking from over the couch where she rested. She stood from the couch and went to stand beside the front door, waiting for someone to answer it. "Who could that be?" Mrs. Sim questioned, standing up to answer the door. When he opened the door though, she didn't expect to see a tall male smiling back at her nervously. "Who—Are you?" Jake's eyes widened just a little as he jolted up from his seat to grab his backpack from the couch, startling Jaehyuk.

"Slow down, you're going to fall!" Jaehyuk called from the dining room, abruptly stopping when Jake turned the corner. "It's—It's alright. Just run along then," "Wait!" Jake called, keeping the door open with his foot. He whined a little. "Sunghoon-ah!" Jake said excitedly from the little crack in the door, his mother stopped to open the door up again. "Oh my, you're a friend of Jaeyun's. I'm so sorry," She bowed and sent an embarrassed smile to the taller male. He laughed a little and shook his head.

"It's alright. I should've introduced myself first," Jake clasped onto the straps of his backpack and took a step outside of the door, standing beside Sunghoon. "I'll get going to school then mom, see you later" He gave his mother a short hug before beginning to walk down the stairs and onto the sidewalk. Sunghoon bowed at Mrs. Sim again and followed behind Jake. "Make sure to focus in school!" "I will!"

Sunghoon and Jake walked around the campus with slow steps. It was pretty empty as it was early so it was relaxing to walk around and just talk with each other. Admiring the sky and then looking around at all of the empty hallways, Sunghoon enjoyed it. But he enjoyed the fact that he was walking with Jake right now even more.

Jake looked up at the younger male, heart skipping a when Sunghoon was already looking back at him. He nervously looked back in front of them, hearing a soft chuckle from the other male. "So Jake, where are you from?" Jake looked back at him and dropped his hands to his side, allowing them to swing back and forth.

"I was born here in Korea but moved to Australia when I was... Maybe 9? 10? Around there," Sunghoon's mind began to run again. That's around the time I met Jaeyun. "Had to move to Korea because of my father but he's still in Australia now." Sunghoon decided to just nod. "That's cool I've never been. How is it like in Australia?" Jake laughed and went to crossed his arms over his chest, taking small glances at Sunghoon from time to time. "Pretty hot all year obviously. But it was pretty good, took some time to adjust to school life there though"

It felt great that he was learning information about Jake and all but it still didn't fail to confuse him. There were little pieces of information that Jaeyun had told him years before that matched exactly with that Jake tells him. He wanted so badly to tell Jake but he didn't want to scare the older away with his mental problems, they only met the day before. Sunghoon felt his phone vibrate, looking down at the texts on his phone. "Come on Jake, Jungwon, and Heeseung are here. Let's go meet up with them,"

Jake followed behind him closely, smiling.
