Sunghoon is frustrated and doesn't know what to do. Jaeyun would pop up once in a while and catch him by surprise. But recently, the older has been showing up more and more to the point where it almost became a daily thing. Jake tried his best to always be there but he could only do so much, he had his own things to do and couldn't be with Sunghoon 24/7 to comfort him. Sunghoon knew and could recognize that the older was a busy individual but it was so hard to not have him there.

The very first day of a series where Sunghoon would imagine Jaeyun was on a Saturday evening. Jake had stayed over to do some homework with him and everything was as good as it could be. The two took some time for themselves, ahem cuddles were the best while it was cold outside. And they did their homework so that they didn't need to worry about it the next day. But Sunghoon swore that Jake ended up staying the night. He remembers Jake cuddling up into his arms and resting his head in his chest before Sunghoon whispered sweet words to lull him to sleep.

Sunghoon woke up the next day with empty arms. Jake's belongings were gone and no trace of what had happened after they had packed up their homework was left behind. He asked Jake about it later on but the older claims otherwise. He tells Sunghoon that he had left right after they finished because his parents expected him home. The younger didn't know how to react to this.

The next time that messed with his head was right after school. With a uniform any everything, Jaeyun had walked with him home. Somehow, Jaeyun was evolving and slowly becoming more and more like Jake. His imagination changing to match exactly what the older was like to the point, it was hard to tell them apart. Jaeyun no longer had brown hair to decipher him from Jake, always wore the appropriate clothing, and was getting used to Sunghoon calling him Jake. Their personalities were crossing over, Jaeyun was exactly like Jake now.

"So Hoon, what are we going to do?" Jaeyun asked before they crossed the street, reaching to tap onto Sunghoon's arm. The younger immediately pulled away and tilted his head, pointing towards the latter with his left hand. "We have a project for science to do..." Sunghoon began slowly, furrowing his eyebrows. He knew now, Jake was the one who encouraged him to finish everything for the project by the end of today so how could he suddenly forget?

"Jaeyun..." Sunghoon grasped onto his own head, tugging at his black locks out of frustration. He found the spot beside the sidewalk under a tree where he sat down, trying his best to hold back his tears. But with Jaeyun standing beside him trying to talk to him, the urge to cry became stronger. "Jaeyun go away..." Sunghoon whispered. The male didn't budge and kneeled beside him, talking and talking without stopping. Yup, this isn't Jake, Jake would've been comforting him not scaring him even more. Minutes later, Jake found the male crying with tear-stained cheeks, sniffling madly into his shoulder.

The most recent one hurt Sunghoon a lot as well. At this point, he couldn't determine if he was going crazy or not. He wasn't sure why his mind was still creating images of Jaeyun when Jake was there, there was no need for Jaeyun anymore. Not when he was beginning to get frustrated whenever seeing Jake or Jaeyun, not knowing which one he was. Real or fake... is he my imagination? Sunghoon hated having to question himself whenever he saw his boyfriend.

Sunghoon wrapped his arms tightly around Jake, shortly placing his lips onto his forehead with a smile. "What was that for?" He had a sort of shocked look on his face, backing away from the younger who had just kissed him. Sunghoon backed away with a hurt expression. "Did I do something wrong?" The younger let go of his waist, leaning against his bed frame with his bottom lip between his rows of teeth. "Why'd you kiss me?" He asked almost irritatedly, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Hoon, look at me." Sunghoon was startled to see Jake, the actual one, sitting right beside Jaeyun. He's never seen this before. Never seen the two of them in his field of vision at the same time. He almost screamed, almost wanted to run away at the image in his head but he quickly fell into Jake's arms. "I can still see him." The younger tightly closed his eyes, gesturing towards the spot beside Jake with his hand clenching tightly onto the older's hand.

"He's still there...?" Jake whispered, turning to the side of him that Sunghoon had pointed to. Though he didn't want to look, he opened one eye to take a short peek only to see Jaeyun still frowning at him. "Still there-" Jake sighed out and ran a hand through Sunghoon's hair.

He wanted to be there for the younger. Jake wanted to be the shoulder that Sunghoon could lean onto whenever he needed it but he was beginning to get drained as well. It was tiring to see his boyfriend go through so much while he couldn't quite understand or see what he goes through. It hurt him just as much whenever Sunghoon would see Jaeyun, he couldn't do much to help besides sit there and comfort him. He was exhausted. They both were.

"Hoon-ah... We're alright... We're okay..." Sunghoon paused at the word we're. Jake normally comforted him and told him that he'll be alright but it was becoming clear, he was burdening Jake. "We're going to be alright," His voice cracked, tears finally falling out of his eyes. I'm hurting Jake... Sunghoon thought to himself as he rested his chin against Jake's chest, looking up at him. "J—Jake," Jake cleared his throat and looked down at him, putting on a smile. "Let's go and calm you down Hoon, then we can maybe just lay here until you feel better. How does that sound?" His smile felt so real but so fake at the same time.

I'm definitely hurting him.

uh don't ask why i'm updating at 2 in the morning :D but we've finally updated this story after almost two weeks. it was sort of hard coming up with more for the story when there are other stories that we're trying to write out at the same time. so we'll try our best to wrap this one up so that we can finally move onto our heejake, sunsun or jakehoon ff!
