Mphakamseni The Arranged Man
#21ICE-CREAM PALACE
Nana was busy on her phone when one comment got her attention.
"WePhaka they want me to post a picture of you before the transformation. They want to know if you got married before or after transformation." Nana tilts her head looking at Phaka who was looking unbothered dipping in his ice-cream.
"You know what I think it's time we live our lives according to us not people. I will post pictures of our wedding day so they would know that we got married before everything. I just hate it how people are meddling in our business!" She clicks her tounge annoyed.
"Haters always have something to say you know. Don't let them get to you." Michael tells Zelo who was beyond pissed.
"It's about time they know who rules this side of town. My power couple." Nana smiles looking at Zelo.NGCOBO HOUSEHOLD
"I think it's about time we go back home. We are grateful that the surgery was a success. Boy's I will need you to hold hands and don't let anyone come in-between you. Life is too short to hate one another for a stupid mistake your father did. Help your father gather his strength to bring this family back together, I put everything in your hands. Lungelo it's now time to hold hands with your brother's through thick and thin. Enjoy one another's presence while you still can. Life is too short, grow up and have balls like other men." Baba advises the boy's.
"We will do as you request grandpa, from now onwards we stand by each other." They all agree to one statement.
Later that day Muzi decided to call his mother and surprisingly a male picked up the phone and that made Muzi's heart skip a bit.
"Hello anyone there," the man said over the phone. Muzi was frozen with a lump stuck up on his throat.
"He. Ow God. He dropped the call and decided to send a text with alot of mixed emotions.Hy mum.
I know you probably wondering why I'm contacting you. Honest truth there's a lot I would like to share with you. Life threw horrible punches at me and I gladly accepted them. It took me long to acknowledge my wrongs. There's alot I'd like to say to you and Phaka. Can you kindly please reply to the text.
Muzi.BONGEKILE
I read the text over and over again. I don't want to lie I love my children more than anything. As much as they hurt me they are still my kids and I love them with everything in me. I'm just glad that he finally saw the light before it was too late. I do want to have a stable relationship with them but my main concern is Phaka. How will he handle the whole situation? Will there ever be peace between them? Will he be up for anything and any changes? God I need you now more than ever. She let herself cry out all the pain she endured in that house.
"Ssshhh it's okay my queen everything will be okay. You're one of the strongest woman I've ever come across and feel inlove with, where's that woman who is good in giving advice to people who are broken? Where's that woman who knows how to fix broken spirits.
Cry all the pain out if it will make you feel better." Zubby cuddles her with a broken heart. Seeing his wife this hurt just tears him into pieces. She cried until she hiccups. "Feeling any better my queen?"
"Thank you, I guess I needed that. When will we fly back to Durban?"
"In two weeks time my love. I'm sure the poor guy has fainted why don't you reply to the text." He advises her. She smiled looking at him and wondered how life would have been if she didn't meet this man after failed marriage. She grabbed her phone and texted back:-Muzi I no longer live in Durban. I will be available in two weeks time, but I will let update you.
She clicks on send and breathed out loud.MUZIKAYISE
He couldn't believe that his mother texted back honestly he was just trying his luck and God came through for him. Now what's left is to reach out to Phaka but doesn't have his contacts nor house address. Guess he will just have to wait for those two weeks. After the incident he had at the hospital the doctor found out that his having heart disease even though they did not specify , at the moment he doesn't want to tell anyone cause he doesn't want them to stress about him, they are still focusing on his father. He keeps taking medication as instructed. But living with the fact that one day you will die. He just wants to fix his wrongs on this earth before God decided other wise.
SIBEKEZELO
Phaka has been very clingy and it sometimes annoy me, I don't understand, he has all the hormones, morning sickness, cravings and I'm just perfectly fine. His so inlove with ice-cream and Amahewu, what a combination.
We decided to have our own page on Facebook and one Twitter Zelo and Phaka and damn we have alot of followers in a short period of time. We posted our childhood pictures, wedding and our current pictures. Most people are amazed about Phaka's spirit. Some comments were nasty and some were encouraging. That's how people are, some always bring out that negativity and always have the strength to bring you down. My life is very peaceful with the man I'm with. Who would have thought that one day I would be so madly in love with my arranged husband.MPHAKAMSENI
I have finally agreed to the radio interview since they have been a pest in my life. I saw today's newspaper article and I was making headlines. This picture looks like it was taken at that ice-cream palace. I wonder who took this picture, how do even people know me?
I'm happy with my life changes, my wife makes me happy and alive, my business is booming. We have started to build the shelter for the homeless and I must say I'm pretty impressed. I see everyone glued on the TV screen at the cafeteria. I see my picture pop up and I ask one of the workers to turn up the volume. Seems like I'm making headlines every where I go.WHO IS HE? Phaka slowly turned his head and walked away back to his office to make a few calls regarding the farm. He wants to own a farm but back in KwaZulu.
1 WEEK LATER
DAY OF THE INTERVIEW
Everyone was glued to their radios at home, hospitals and nation wide waiting for the show to start. Some were happy for him and some were hating saying he just wants attention. The stuff member's at his workplace were gathered in the boardroom since it was big to accommodate everyone. Muzi and Sphe walked in looking all lost.
"What are we doing here again?" Muzi asks sounding bored.
"Our boss will be having an interview live on radio. Sshhh the show has started." They all listen attentively and excitedly.
"Good day listeners, I know most of you guy's are wondering who is this man behind the expensive suits. Guy's if only you could see what I'm seeing right now, the famous power couple. I actually admire you guys and you look cute together. So tell me more about you guys, will start with the lady here."
"Well I'm Sibekezelo Ngcobo known as Zelo married to this wonderful man right her next to me. I actually don't talk much." She smiles looking at her husband.
"And your beauty is magnificent. Let's talk about the gentle man here, who are you? You have been keeping everyone on their toes. Please introduce yourself." DJ Zaza tells Phaka.
Phaka laughed with that husky deep sexy voice. Well the name is Mphakamseni Christopher Ngcobo. Were do I start?"
"Tell us about your childhood life. I see your picture's are trending on social media platform."
"I didn't actually have an exciting childhood. My life was miserable as always and people were making it worse since I was bullied alot. But my mum did all she could to put that smile on my face, she was my best friend and a best mother a son could ever ask for."
"I see you getting emotional there. So tell me about your love life where did you guys meet and how?"
"It was actually an arrange marriage. I meet her the day she walked down the aisle with her father looking beautiful as ever. As ugly as I was she feel inlove with the ugly me. When we got married I had nothing like nothing at all. I was just an accountant living in a one bedroom flat. All the glitters that I have today it's all because of her, she pushed me and backed me up through every obstacle. She would fight everyone who made bad comments about me. I fell inlove with her fiestiness, she knows which buttons to press when I'm not okay. I love my wife more than life itself." Phaka says looking at his wife.
"Wow even your eye's sparkle when you talk about your wife you even made her cry . So what do you do for a living currently? I'm sure every listener would like to know."
"I'm actually the new owner of the Oil And Gas Station. I recently bought another business which is Amagugu Corporate, I'm also building a shelter worth 8 million for homeless people, I'm also in a process of buying a farm back in KZN. To answer your question I'm just a business man who's a hustler."
"Wow I'm speechless and impressed. Thank you so much for agreeing to be here with us to know more about you and sharing your experience. So listener's who ever wants to follow them on their pages, on Facebook it's Zelo and Phaka on twitter it's Zelo_Phaka01.
